Hi--I am a brand new member of your forum as my wife (of nearly 40-years) finally caved into the idea of a RZR 800. We live in western Wyoming and plan to ride orv trails with the 50" width limit. Wyoming has a weight restriction of 900-lbs unladen weight on the 50" trails so legally speaking the RZR with a 945 lb unladen weight would not be legal. Before I plunk down $10,000 plus for a new RZR I wanted to hear feedback. Thanks for a most informative forum.

I wouldn't worry about it personally. It's the width that matters to get through the gates. What are they going to do out 5 miles in the bush, set up a weigh station? They don't want UTVs or Jeeps on the trials. Your standard RZR is made for this type of situation. I'd find out who manages the trails and call them up without giving your real name and just ask. If it's a big deal you will be informed.

Welcome. I weigh too much! Never thought that about my RZR that has ridden 50" trails. It would be good if your thread would bring out Wyoming riders. I would like to know too!

Drain all of the fluids out of it and you should be fine.
Seriously, welcome to the most fun you can have with your clothes on. I'm with some of these folks, who's gonna know unless they have a list of vehicles with their weights listed.
We have a saying around here for buying big ticket items without permission. Sometimes it's better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission. Plead ignorance.
