New rzr frame, what to do about VIN?

I just recently bought a new frame from polaris as I tweaked the front to the point it couldn't be repaired. I have the title to the old frame but the new ones have no VIN.

I'm not sure how to proceed. I see the Vin sticker on the passenger side and then the stamping on the drivers side of the trashed frame. How do I go about getting a vin on the new one or can i somehow use the old vin?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Itsruf was great to deal with, helped me out alot with a recent issue. Im going to give him the benefit of the doubt here and assume he was just upselling the forum, especially considering he is in a different state than the OP. The answer to this is probably going to be state specific.....

I had my frame switched out by the dealership. They actually just took the sticker off of the old frame and put it on the new one... That is what polaris told them to do. I never thought about the stamping.... Im going to have to look into this more now...

The bike is titled in Texas, I have received some PMs as well but I guess I will call the DMV tomorrow as I dont think the answer necessitates a "premium membership". Thanks for those that have assisted me so far via PM and in the thread.

Boomer, you indicated that your new frame didnt have a VIN, do you mean it doesnt have one stamped on the frame or stickered?

if so, i would just take a hair dryer or heat gun and try and get the sticker off your old frame intacked, and reattach it to the new frame....

if you can get that done, i dont think the DMV will even need to get involved.

Here in Colorado you call the local Police or Sheriff and they will send an officer out to verify the VIN on the damaged frame and then you can stamp the VIN on the new frame. That's what they always did when we got new frames for Harleys.

Same thing for trailers I inherited that had no title, but I had an old registration. Deputy came out verified VIN and registration, signed a form, I took that to DMV and got a new titile.

I think cost was $25 per trip.

I had my frame swapped by dealership after I bent the original and I don't know if they changed stickers or restamped the new one. I never even thought of it so I would like to know the answer to this also.
Itruf, many members on this forum don't know how to post up pics, including myself but contribute in other ways with posts on rides, experiences, opinions, etc. This is a great forum to ask questions and tap into the wealth of knowledge the members have. Just my 2c.

Jacks? No, see there you go again....it was 1 jack I had for sand rails, that I no longer needed & offered it for sale. I'll try it again as I realise you have a hard time understanding "ONE Jack!"
After listening to you rant for days, I took it off & deleted the post. Got tired of hearing you cry.
My point today is......this is a Great Forum, but cry babies like you make it awful hard for the average guy to get help without getting a ass chewing from you.
Remember....No one is asking YOU!
