Need some help with PRP seats

I recently purchased PRP extra wide seats. I had an EMP shifter and had to do away with it because of the width of the seats and had to go to a lower profile shifter. The seats fit fine with the bars that come with them to mount to the bases. The problem is they sit too high. If I take the bars out of the mounting equation which you can do, then the front tabs of the base will not lock into the rail they set in. Any help would be appreciated on how to lower them.

Didn't know you could do that. Does the bottom rest right on the base when you do that? If it does you won't get the benefit of the suspended seat. If it doesn't contact the base then maybe you could put a few washers in the front (just enough so you can lock it in). It will set the seat back a little more and give a little more leg room. Only other answer would be to get a set of lowering metal seat bases.

I just put in PRP GT/3 extra wide seats in my 17 XPT. I have installed the Longhorn metal lowering seat base. Once installed you can not move the seat unless you take the seat out and loosen the bolts adjust to were you want it and tighten the bolts back up.. I absolutely love them. I never move my seat at all. My seat is solid with none of the Polaris seat base wobble. The suspension part of the seat works just fine. Plenty of room to move.

Yes the seats hit the console and that is not allowing them to lock in the front with the tabs. I am not using the slider adjusters. If I take the 1 inch tubes out and just use the seat base they do not fit because of the console. They are a 1/2 inch to wide to get the base tabs in the lock bar. The 1 inch tube raises the seat up enough that with the slope of the console they fit. When using the tubes it also moves the seat base forward about an inch. I was thinking of maybe elongating the stock seat base notches another inch in the base to be the same distance as using the 1 inch tubes. This may get me away from the back of the rzr and the console issue. I have went to a Gear Grabber shifter and it works fine.
