So the wife rolled my machine pretty good. Bent front upper control arm, bent trailing arm, and some other minor things.

Put the new trailing arm on and got everything lined up and snugged up but it’s almost like the axle it too short now. It doesn’t reach fully into the hub. If I thread the castle nut on and start tightening it, it ends up just pulling the axle out of the rear.
Nothing else appears to be bent/off.

Can someone do me a favor and check a measurementon their machine for me.

Center of the case should be pretty much center of the "window". From studying your picture, yours appears to be good. Did you replace the axle in this process?

Nope, axle is the OEM that came on the machine

Common sense tells me something else has to be bent but I’ve gone over the machine 100 times and can’t find anything.
I’m at a loss here… just doesn’t make sense

What about the radius rods in the back? Measure inside to outside on both sides and aee if they are the same.

Have you checked your motor mounts to make sure they didn’t break and allow things to shift?

Sounds like maybe the axle shaft is stuck fully in one of the cv joints. You should be able to move inner and outer on the shaft.

Yea, both are the stock axles. And they’re the same part number. It’s not like the axle can shrink…?

I had the axle completely out of the machine and it feels fine. Moves freely and pivots.

Radius rods are straight, motor mounts all look good

I would guess what @Mattman06 said above. The CV joints can plunge in and out of the axle cups. One is probably stuck in a little. I’d pull the axle out and make sure they plunge freely at both ends. The joint could have been damaged in the rollover. I believe that axle is on back order but they are rebuildable with Polaris parts. The parts to rebuild are in stock. Shoot me a PM if you end up needing any more parts.

How much movement are we talking? Like 2 inches or a 1/4”? Enough to make up the difference I need for it to seat into the hub?

They should move significantly, not just a tiny bit. Inner should plunge in and out several inches, and the outer usually only about an inch. Mostly because the outer boot is shorter and tapered significantly.

Ok this must be the issue then because it barely plunges. Maybe 1/8 - 1/4” and at the hub seems to be about 2” short.
It’s just odd because it moves fine rotationally. You’d think if something was holding it from plunging, it would impinge the rest of the movement

Why would I go through insurance. All the parts thus far only cost me $1000 and no claim on my insurance…. Not like it’s a TL.
If it came to the frame being bent or something major, then I’d go that route for sure

Not causing you grief. I totally understand your situation. My opinion, is usually wrong.

$1k into parts and looking for a solution that may or may not be an easy fix. What may have been tweeked causing other issues?
You may be a master mechanic or RZR Dr., no ability/skills judgment from me. Personally, I would put the diagnosis and fixing liability on the dealer with a claim. If it is not corrected back to OEM specs, it's a fight between the dealer and insurance co.

Just a thought.
