Recent upgrade to RS1, loving it but need to find sliders.
"Extreme Kick-Out Rock Sliders" ideal.
Any listings I can find don't pan out as available.
Any help appreciated!

I also have an RS1, and gave up looking. Unless you can get a custom cage builder, or are a proficient welder fabricator, you're out of luck.. I did the next best thing and installed a Factory UTV skid plate from @RockPeakUTV , it has sides that are angled up, and act as rock sliders.. Not perfect, and likely won't stop damage if you slide into something sideways really hard, but better than nothing.

I keep toying with the idea of bending one up, but haven't so far..

Here are two skids to look at. I had to make my own side panels to protect the body on my RS1. I have pictures if interested.

considering fabricating one
If you decide to go the route of having some made or making them yourself, I have a set of Polaris OEM part number 2882695-458 RS1 Rock Sliders that I can get exact measurements for you if that would help.

Here's a link to a company that custom makes them. I know somebody that used them, and they were really happy with the quality and pricing.

I just got off the phone with them, and they have no problems making them exactly like the original equipment or to your specifications. I didn't get pricing because I don't know what you want or color etcetera. My suggestion would be to call them for specific information. Also, I would imagine if you can get a multiple unit order you could get a better price. I know there's a lot of people looking for rock sliders for RS1's on Facebook as well. You might be able to put together a group price where everybody calls in their order and pays for it and as a group you get a discount. The person I spoke to was very friendly and energetic and happy to work with you.

I THINK, (and I can't say specifically, cause I don't have one to measure), that they are the same mounts as a 1000XP, at least it looks that way in the photos..

The reason I didn't go that route is twofold.. Rock kickers, like they run in the east, stick out a distance from the machine, depending on brands the ones I've seen are 4 to 6 inches out. Given the seat in the RS1 is in the center, I'd think that anything that added width to the "cab" area would make entry and egress more difficult than it already is.. It will certainly mud up the back of your trousers getting in and out

I'd prefer something a little closer to the cab, and thought some 2x2x.250 square tubing would be the trick, I've mocked it up a couple times, but the hard part is finding something solid to bolt it to underneath.. There's not a lot there in the RS1 to bolt to for that sort of a design.. I'm more worried about high centering on something that blasting thru the woods missing trees by centimeters.. Riding the way I do, I'm not too worried about it because of the way the RS1 is built..

And FWIW, if you're looking at making mods to your machine for crawling, ask and I'll detail what I did to mine, planning in validating my mods at Sand Hollow the week of Oct 19th

Rock sliders are often made out of metal for all sorts of vehicles. The reality is they do not help you slide but hangup more especially when comparing to plastic. They might protect the quarter panels of the vehicle on which they are installed.

UHMW, like mentioned, is the best skid plate material for actually "sliding" over rocks. If it is not strong enough for your application you can add it to steel skid plates. I remember decades ago when rock crawlers started adding it to the belly of their crawlers. I'm building a RS1 crawler and going out of my way to keep it narrow bodied for the rocks.

If "tree kickers" is what you are asking about that is a different story all together. They definitely will not help in the rocks.

So is it trees or rocks you are trying to overcome?

"blasting thru the woods missing trees by centimeters"
Sounds like heaven, Coal Creek TN rock crawling felt like hell.
Thanks for the information, will try to figure out more on xp attachment points. The S is definitely different but may be able to start and fabricate.
Have a great ride, heading to WV in October myself.
Will call bent and twisted fab today, getting hopeful!

I'd bet that if you were to make a thread with your proposal, that there are a bunch of us here that would consider it, given the conditions.. I'm finding a real lack of parts available for RS1 compared to the 2 and 4 seat units..

Where do you hail from Frank ??
