While riding this weekend, started hearing a loud popping coming from the while in the holes, while turning all the way, and maybe while it was flexing?

I've searched, not no brake pads or shim mod.

Give me some ideas... Possible it's the axle, but not sure, doesn't sound like it to me.

Please just bounce ideas to me!

Thanks!

U joint under the clutch housing?

My rzr is too dang loud, so I just can't tell where it is coming from.

I will give that a look, and as well as the hubs.

Thanks. Keep it coming!

If its when you are turning all of the way.....that should take your clutch out of the question. If you are turning, that is cranking your CV's over and making them work.

I'm sure that someone elso will jump in here and give their opinion

My RZR 4 started making a popping noise yesterday when going over obstacles or making hard turns....you can here it and feel it...mine is in the rear suspension. I can rock it side to side and it pops pretty loud...haven't had time to narrow down exactly where it is coming from but definitley something in the rear suspention....hopefully greasing all the bushings will take care of it...

Thanks. Yeah I hade to rock it pretty hard to make the noise..just fixed mine. Mine was the sway bar links...the bolts apparently have to be TIGHT. They felt tight but one of was just loose enough to let the bushing walk under a load causing a popping noise. I cranked down the 4 end link bolts/nuts and the noise is gone. Guess I should look up the TQ and actually torque them...but the noise is gone so I guess they are tight enough lol.

Earlier RZRs had a pop noise that was the axle nuts not tight enough.
Give that a go, there was a concave washer that was part of a service bulletin.
Took care of the problem for me.

Hubs look good, axle feels good.

I will check the sway bar links.

It didn't start until I slid off in a deep, steep ditch, rzr was almost flat on it's side... We crawled up out of the hole on it's side(while pushing to relieve stress off of the pass side side it was laying on). The wife was driving and heard it when it landed or just landed...

Beginning to think the sprague... But could the noise echo or what not and be hearing it (or sound like it's comming from the rear or what not) bc we can't tell where it's coming from, the exhaust is loud and the snorkles are right by our heads.

Again thanks for the replies... I do appreciate te help!

As far as the axle nut... I've got gorillas on it... And it has a six inch lift with 30" silverbacks.

I'm just so frustrated, I'm used to finding the issue quickly and knowing I can fix it!

I don't think it was, it's only a single pop, but I'm not on the throttle near as hard, just a single loud pop. Thinkin axle but mine usually do it more often when I have issues with em.
