Was out at Ocotillo Wells this weekend, had a lot of fun, ran a lot of guys around shell reef, up blowsand. Many Rotax Rhinos, Big Bore Rhinos, an Aerocharger Rzr, and an MCX Rzr S, along with stock teryx and a load of quads. The weber was ahead at every point. Beat both the MCX and the Aerocharger up blowsand. Top speed up blowsand was about 53 mph. All in all a lot of fun I could not be happier with my weber. It felt so solid out there and anything that I put in front of it it did and for the first time my suspension and chassis could not keep up with the motor. Wow 82.8 mph ,time for a suspension upgrade . what did it set you back ?

Yea right now im looking at going to Tripple Bypass Shocks. Something that can get me another 15 mph. Im mostly a hard pack desert rider, so for me suspension is key.

 

What shocks are you looking at ?

 

At some point doesnt matter what shocks you put on you still are limited on total travel, you can only go so far on shocks alone, you may need to also go longer travel to get more overall travel along with performance shocks. Also may want to look at strengthing frame.

 

All the above and these cars are too short for these speeds.

Be careful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant stress enough, these buggies are not made for those types of speeds. Even if you get your suspension/chassis to handle it, there are a number of other things that could potentially hurt you. Front drive shaft is long and not supported well enough for those speeds, tires are not balanced, nor do they have a rating to go that fast. I could go on and on.

 

And with the new overdrive clutches that will be coming out.There really going to be scary fast!

 

I think Wasteland should put a speed limiter on of 63mph... and then not tell Mike what wire to cut! LOL

Be sure to keep a good eye on things. Like Chad says, a drive shaft coming apart at those speeds could prove to be a large hurtle to overcome.

 

This reminds me of a Guy I know who goes by the name "Alltoys" he built a blown Praire 650 and lost it at 98mph when a wheel fell off. he was on a black top road to boot. they never did find all the parts. he was lucky with only a broken leg.

 

What night were all these guys at blow sand. I was there both Fri and Sat night till 11:00 pm must have missed u and all the hopped up rides. No doubt ur faster no one blew by my MCX in fact I didn't even see another turbo... lolol..... but I would love to check out ur ride. Ill be out there week new years maybe we can hook up.. I stay at a place by the blue inn on the private side.... love Ocotillo been going there for years. Love to climb the wall at shell reef the right steep side by the jump....... freaks people out.....My ride wht carbon Ill post new pics later.

 

There were about 15 modded rzr's id say. Some regulars some S models. Saw 2 of the orange madness ones, rest were turbo silver. Didnt see you. Next time we should meet up.

I was ripping thru the dunes between Patton Valley and Gordons well. Lots of attention when that Weber hauls butt up those steep dunes. I am soooo ready for mine. Thanx for the loaner BMike.

if she blows at that speed your gonna need 1st aid and 2nd aid and probally a little 3rd aid

 

youll need some help slowing down from those speeds,i perpose a parastrap (parachute/ tow strap combo)so either way its running....your ass is covered!
