my airbox fix

got two uni filters 4x6x2 1/2. cut the flang off the stock air horn. clamped the filters on. cut the seal off the paper filter, siliconed it on. all fits in the stock box so my snorkle still works.. all is good for a 70 dollar fix. needed new filter any way..

I like it! Looks good, nice useage of the old filter gasket. So the smaller red filter is for the PVC?

yes it is, i like the ida of it all being in the stock box and kipping the sand/water out of the motor, should work just fine.. had lots of fun on the ride we went on...

Do you have part numbers for the uni filters?
this is the part # u p 6245. i got them from e bay,dual stage with outer wears. 72.00 bucks for the 2 filters and outers. this is the item number...290655044277

Nice, really like the way you used the stock filter seal. One thing though. The foam filter oil from your UNI's can really clog up the K&N outerwears and they wont breathe at all. Foam filter oil is very different than K&N oil.

holeshot... you are right,good point.. i use the uni filter cleaning/oiling kit so all should be ok. i claen them after a day of riding. took it out for a good dusty ride today, works like it should, all is clean and well. best mod i have done...

I used a twin air, greased the edge of the foam filter as well as both surfaces of the air box and it is sealed tight! we used a smoke machine to test for leaks on the snorkels, those smoke machines are great for snorkel leaks!
