I'll be getting a new S 900 and would like to hear what you all say are good things to add on. I'm older and probably will not be going bonkers on it.

As you indicated, if you don't plan on using the car for its full performance potential (speed and suspension) and just plan on tooling around, buying a car that costs more may not make sense. The 900 may just suit you fine.

Harness
Tire Plug Kit with compressor and/or spare tire
Spare drive belt
First aid kit, add some matches to it too
fire ext
Tools, tools, tools, tape, zip ties,
A trail buddy or if single riding one of those GPS location devices...Spot, etc (If you do ride alone, tell someone where you are going)
Cooler with water in addition to your favorite beverages
