Sorry we wont be going back after we went to party at the ponds this year. FYI If your camping there and the water is "high" you cannot ride from the main gate/racing ponds to the campground without going on the highway. The problem with that is when your ready to go back to the campground after riding all day and drinking a few, cops sit on the road and hand out tickets and give sobriety tests. And dont bother asking the park owners to give you a ride to get your truck to trailer your bikes back .25 miles down the road because they wont. Even though it is their fault that they did not provide a secure or tall enough bridge to get to and from the campground. With that said if it hasnt rained there 2 weeks prior to the event, you should be ok.

yeah we spent about 3 hours at 1 AM at night looking for a way. It was only our second time there, and there was dozens of people stranded and could not get back to their campers. We ended up having to take a trail that follows the road for a while to get passed the cops and run over a fence to get on the highway and ride back. There was literally people swimming their bikes across the river...

Lol yea, next time follow gator alley. The only time I've seen someone stranded was over by the primitive camping. That was the day the water was 5ft deep at the snack shack and 3+ on the road. I bet that was a eventful night especially not knowing the trails.

yeah luckily I always carry a GPS so I at least knew what direction to go. We actually found some fun trails but everyone was so ready to be back that it was hard to enjoy them. It just pissed us off that the owners were like Oh Well, Good Luck...

So why wouldnt you go back based on that experience? I would understand if you went and that happened every time. However, I would look at the forecast and the past rain and make a judgement call. As for getting on the road and getting a ticket, I am sure you didnt have to actually get ON the road. You think just because there is a privately owned park that the cops there shouldnt enforce the law? Especially if you are one of those who drinks and operates these things.

No, we did not ride ON the road. The cops had a roadblock and would not let any atv pass even if you rode on the side of the road. I would not go back because how the owners treated us. JMO, Sabine park is better and closer for us.
