I have Backcountry Navigator and the ATV add on pack. It's pretty good at covering western WI but really misses a lot in MN. My guess is that would be because MN kind of sucks at the ATV trail thing. Each county or city manages their own trails and the system, while there, isn't always documented well. Anyways, I'm working on creating KMZ files for the different areas in MN. When I have good coverage of all the major trail systems in MN I'll combine them all into one large KMZ file. In the meantime I'll start linking to the progress here. To import the trails and waypoints into BCN go to "Trip Data" then "Import Tracks or Waypoints". Select the file that you downloaded and what trip you'd like to import it to and voila!

Just finished the trails that are included on the Soo Line North Map. Going to work on Namadji and Soo Line South over the next week or so. Won't happen until after Quadna though. Everyone have fun this weekend! :tent3:

I'm using mostly county ATV maps as an overlay to copy the trails from. As I'm doing it though its really evident that MN is on the verge of having a great ATV trail system if they could just connect all the small trail systems that we have with ATV road routes. If anyone has unofficial trails or routes to connect places like Fort Ripley trails to Soo Line let me know and I will add them with a different color trail to the KMZ files.

Just did the Soo Line South and redtop a few weeks back and had a blast. Any thoughts on most scenic as well as most technical trails in MN?

Looking to do some MN fall rides. Spider Lake trail was recommended and not too far from the cabin.

Rode the Miller Black Bear (west of Crosby, MN) and Blind Lake Loop and Blind Lake Connector trails (Palisade, MN) yesterday and today. Both are excellent trails. Not super technical but a wide range of terrain. The Miller Black Bear trail has some great overlooks of the Mississippi.

The Blind Lake trails are nice as they leed to the Soo Line North which takes you to a ton of other trails as well as easy stops at places to eat and drink. The Soo Line itself is straight and dusty but a great connector.

Didn't see a black bear, but did get to use my winch today pulling a Ranger out of the mud.

Awesome job, I have some trails around McGrath that I will have to track and upload for you. There is also a way to get from the southern soon line to general school Andrews. You have to use the road but it is a nice way to not have to trailer you ride. I will work on this next summer as our riding season is almost finished this year. Thank you for your maps.

Are there any overlays available for the Garmin 64ST for Wisconsin? I have them for the Minnesota trails and they work good

Here are the other trails I have ridden recently. I have been focusing on places under 3 hours driving from the cities for day trips.

-Nemadji: Really enjoyed this pace. Lots of trails to discover and decent terrain. Will be going back soon.

-Soo Line South: Pretty straight but Sonora Loop and come of the others were a decent time off the path. Not sure I would return unless using to get to Soo Line North.

-Spider Lake: Some of the trails were pretty wet and muddy the day I went. A few points I just went for it not really knowing how deep it would be and got soaked. Some larger rocks on the small hill climbs. Probably the most technical of all the trails I have ridden but I'm a newbie. Would return but not itching to.

-Crow Wing Southern Loop: About 50% fun ditch riding, other 50% shoulder/farm road riding. Would return for the portion along 371 that connects to Ft. Ripley

-Fort Ripley Trail: This was pretty fun. Light sand and rocks with a decent amount of whoomps to test the suspension at higher speeds. I used this to get to the Crow Wing southern loop. Would return but its fairly short

Next Saturday I am checking out Appleton MN OHV park. It looks like a good time. I am usually riding solo so if anyone ever wants to meet up and ride around I am always game. Any other trails I should try?

I picked up my seats up by Silver Bay then started to check out some trails, It looked like a good area but a thunderstorm rolled in and sent me back to the trailer.

I'd be down to go run the area on a decent weekend (weather wise)
