I am planning a trip to Mena some time between 12/27-1/2. I have read up on both Wolfpen and Forche. Are these two trail systems connected? Can anyone give more detail to the type of riding either have? Is it better to spend the night at one or the other? overall Wolfpen looks like a larger riding area.
Thanks
Wolfpen is smooth, crowded and pretty, Fourche is more rugged and beautiful. You can ride between them on county and forest service roads. Fourche has 1 campground, several at Mena.
Have these trails been widened any? I went in a 800 s 2 seater years ago. There was places I didn’t know what we would do if we met someone traveling opposite direction.
Both sound great ,I`ve been trying to get some one to go with me down there for literally years ,use to be on a 500 quadzilla, now a rs1 , hope to make it some day , on my bucket list ...
I was literally just looking for places to ride around here, now that I live near Fort Smith. I always struggle finding places to ride, outside of the Black Hills. Forche is not far from me, but based on the posts above, I wonder how rugged it is... I may see if I can find some YouTube video. I generally like fast riding, sometime scenic. Not a fan of rock crawling or mud bogging.
