Members that like mud!

I wanted to start a thread about members that like to go mudding. I ran into a slight problem last weekend. The group of people I usually ride with were unable to go and it was only myself and another rider. Unfortunately he also left early and I was stuck riding by myself. My purpose in this thread is to get acquainted with other mud riders in my area and others who would potentially be willing to meet up and ride together. I actually had a better time driving around and finding other people to ride with than I did with my normal group.

I'm driving roughly 250 miles to the Houston area today. I don't mind 95 miles north. Matter of fact I would prefer it. I have never ridden in Oklahoma and I hear it's nice up there. Is this place legal?

Most the guys in my group including me actually go to the parks to hit mud "not just cruise around and look pretty" we live in Victoria (about an 1hr 30min southwest of Houston) but we are going to river run for my bachelor party next weekend

I met some really good people at muddy bottoms memorial day weekend who were from Burkeville and they said Sabine was real nice as long as they got rain. Are you talking about this Saturday?

Yes, Saturday June 7. When its dry, the dust gets BAD on the main trails but I can get pretty much anywhere without spending much time on the main trail. They should have gotten some rain this weekend so hopefully the dust wont be too bad. There are a few trails there that always stay wet and nasty.

If its too dusty, we hang out at the river a lot and relax. They have by far the nicest place to swim of any park.

This weekend I think we have 5 sxs talking about going. I dont think any of us are snorkeled but only 1 is going to be stock. A lot of these folks have the tendency to back out so I could end up being alone lol

Let me ask some of the other guys I ride with if they want to go also. We had planned on going out to Mud Creek but none of us have been to Sabine and I for one and up for a change. I'll be in touch.

Seems to me all that is there is the highline and the swamp trail (which is really short by the way). Don't care for all the dust either. We still go there a lot but mainly because we feel it doesn't have a lot to offer so we take the kids there to ride.
