Do you need to account for break in time of the padding? It seems that seats in a show room may not give you a good indication of how the seat feels new or broke in, especially when its been in a show room with many others testing.

 

Good point. I would think that the seats they bring to the show are somewhat "broken in" as tons of people have sat in them.

I have the Mastercraft Sportsman's in my "S"

They are the BEST that i've sat in...

I like that they are not Vinyl...you don't get hot like you do on vinyl seats...

and the Suspension in the seats make riding much much more comefortable...

If you're interested in trying them out before you buy them...you'll just have to come out with us one day...

but absent of trying them...Just take my word hahahahahaha Go with the MasterCrafts...GGGGGGGREAT!

 

Curious why the sportsman? I was interested in the 3G if it would fit a rzr. I,m 6'3", 220#, and 3 flattened discs. Looking for the most support for racing the rzr S off-road. Don't care if I have to do some fabbing to make them fit.

I love the new Mastercraft ... just cant justify the price!! And in a SXS ...there are just to high of a seat after you get them mounted ... unless you are planing on relocating the gass tank/battery!

I don't carry Mastercraft, but if you decide to go with the Simpson's, I can get those for you....highly recommend the Elites

Sportsmans with RZR bracket kit work great! don't know if 3Gs will fit the wings might hit each other we are going to put two together today and get some numbers. The proseat works awsome but you need to do some work.

I would buy a set of seats right now if I could know they would work right. As it is, the standard seats are ok, much better then spending 1k and not liking it as much.

 

I love my mastercraft sportsman seats...

They are a night and day difference for me...

I drive pretty fast through rough terrain and these seats take up most of the abuse...

Well, I spent 6k on a Long Travel and it was worse then stock, so I'm a little put off on upgrades that I can't verify before I buy.

 

I have the Simpson Elites ordered. Will let you know the seat of the pants results in a week or two.

 

I went around Portland shops trying different seats. Hated the beard, corbeau Baja.:rm_thumbdown:
Mastercraft "original" was so-so.Corbeau Forza fit good, but felt cheap, didn't think it would hold up.
Loved the Mastercraft 3G. Best seat by far. Tried fitting into a rzr. Seat would sit 3-4 inches higher than stock with limited headroom.

We're going to try the Corbeau shell seats, the FX1 and FX1 Pro. Light, low profile, side&bottom mounting points, add the air bag lumbar support for my back, excellent shoulder/side support. Poor man's Sparco.Fx1 is a little wider than Fx1 pro, so the Fx1 may become a passenger seat if I can fit in a Fx1 pro.
( I am average size, 6'3" and 220#)

 

Keep in mind the suspension...and not just the wrap around your. Body...

Your body will thank u when u go over rough terrain

I am taking the wifes weber to a seat builder next week.. He will be fabbing a new frame strictly built for the rzr..this will be the only seat out there that will work on stock bases or lowering bases and clear the clutch cover properly..the prob with all the generic seats is you lose both headroom and legroom...these seat are just over 350ea..maybe alpine can rep them..come in what ever color you want..they are suspension seats..Gary posted pics somewhere of them..he bought some also..

 

I have the Beard Super TZ seats. Would not trade them for anything.

 

You'd probably trade them for some mastercrafts! lol

 

The Mastercrafts are nice, sat in Killerscooters ones before. But I love my Beard Super TZ's

 

I sat in the Beard seats as well as Bert's show RZR had em. They did feel nice, but the cloth material vs. vinyl, as well as engineering in the Mastercrafts is why I'm leaning in that direction...that is if the price difference isn't that much more!

Everybody likes something different, that is good. I ride only trails here in Ohio. Cloth would not stand up to all my mud, water and my powerwasher. That is another reason I chose the Beard seats. Good luck in your choice.

 

Personally i run Mastercraft pros in my rzr. Call me biased if you will but i have been in numerious vehicals with beard, pros, sparco, etc. and i would not go any other way. Quality, engeniering and testing is all their in a mastercraft seat. I use my rzr to pre run and i am everything but an easy driver and the product can take the beating. A few of my friends run sportsmans in the rzr's and they love them. Bolt in instalation, with the ability to run 4 point harnesses or stock belt, giving you all the containment and safety while keeping you comfortable.

 

You need to seariously look at the Mastercrafts, as they have been building seats for over 40 years, there suspension seat contruction is above any other, plus they do alot of testing, most all other seats are knockoffs of Mastercraft and they will not hold up to the weather and abuse.

I guess nobody likes PRP seats, i Have them in my Early Bronco and they are the best things i ever bought. 3 Years now and they still look brand new and feel great.

 

I have PRP seats .... with holes for all 5 point ...holds the belts in the right location. And uses the stock seat mounts ... so the seat is not mounted to high.

 

you should check out Twisted Stitch Seats again. The Quality, fit and finish is top notch.

 

Well, ended up ordering the Mastercraft from 4wheel parts at the Pomona Off-road show. Got a call that they are ready to be picked up! Will post pics once installed.
