So only have about 30 mi on it.

I've noticed the ass end is loose as hell at 60-70 over fairly smooth trails. That's with 1 or 4 riding.

Do I need to harden or loosen the suspension to alieviate some of this?

first off welcome to the site... do you have any photos of the trails your talking about? at the speeds you talking sliding around is sort of normal what tires did yours come with tires make a huge diff. also your dampening and rebound could be to hard might want to back of a couple clicks then retry it...

Send your shocks to Walker Evans to get them re-valved. $55 per shock. Best money I've spent on my XP4 to improve the ride. They have a form on their website you submit. They had a one day turnaround time from when they received mine. Excellent service. Can't say enough good things about them and how much it improved my ride.
