I currently have a 2013 Rzr 570 base model with upgraded shocks, sway bars disconnected, roof and full doors, among other accessories. I really like the small size of the machine but I think it is time to finally look at upgrading to a 4 seater so the entire family can go in one machine. A big factor in this decision is that I have alot of riding close to my house that I can legally drive a SXS to the trail head without worrying about trailering so that would be nice. None of the trails/areas I normally ride have width restrictions but there are alot of narrow trails around me so I would prefer to stay as narrow as possible. It looks like the narrowest I can be in a 4 seat is 60". Where I primarily ride most of the trails are pretty rocky and rough and I am looking for an improved ride quality over the rzr 570 as well.

So with this in mind, my three main choices, and my personal pros and cons so far, seem to be:

RZR4 900 - Pro's: I have had good luck with Polaris so far, good used selection with most already accessorized, I know how to work on Polaris Rzr, good support network from this forum. Con's: Typical Polaris quality control issues and cheaping out on standard wear components. Heard the stock suspension is not the best compared to some other units.

Can-Am Maverick Sport Max - Pro's: Proven 1000 cc Rotax motor and drivetrain, supposed to be low maintenance, seats are comfortable, fit and finish seems nicer than polaris, suspension is supposed to be the best out of the three. Con's: New this year, no used market yet,

Kawasaki Teryx - Pro's: Best price out of the three, good storage and passenger room. Cons: Have heard the stock suspension is not that great, more of a utility SXS than a sport, have heard that they are loud in the cab and hot, is the largest of the three.

Let me know your opinions on these and if there are any units out there that I am missing. I do not ride sand or haul a** power sliding corners. I ride mountain trails and roads typically 25 mph or less and use it for zipping around town in the summer for quick errands.

Just traded up my S4 900 but I can tell you the S4 900 is a very trail worthy 4 seater, it surprised me more than once with its ability to fit thru tight spots and make narrow turns and switchbacks. The turning radius is really good for a 4 seater and there won't be many situations that a 2 seater will be able to make it that the S4 900 won't, unless the 60" width is a problem, but I doubt anybody would make a 4 seater narrower than 60" due to stability issues with 4 people in the car. Now the XP4 chassis is a whole nother story, noticeably bigger turning radius is needed.
