i cut a few inches off the bottom seal on both sides it helped alot on mine..lets in air along the bottom not as bad but still swirls a little now its warm i think i will come off...

Just soaking up good info.

 

The vented windshields, that I have seen, have slots running vertically on the lower/ middle portion of the windshield. A Router would be the tool that I would use to duplicate the patterns of slots made on the commercial vented windshields, referred to above. Perhaps, you should do a Google search for RZR vented windshields, etc. and see the designs that others have used.

I have not seen any windshields with holes around the edges, as you purpose. Perhaps the reason is because of improper air flow or pressure factors caused by such a design.

What are the issues with a full windshield? How about adding a rear window to minimize the swirl?

 

A rear window/panel helps a lot, but a non-vented front windshield creates a negative air pressure zone, contributing to a potential dust problem inside the driver's compartment

Check this link out. EXPENSIVE, but looks like a good product. My '09 RZR already had a lock and ride windshield on it, so I'll probably look for a slide vent to try and insert.

I like the idea of being able to open and close the vent.

Dont know where you would find them but here is a suggestion to vent the windshield. Remember on airplane plexiglass side windows? They had vents in them, they were round if I remember right. I even think some may swivel. If we could find the manufacturer they might be the answer. Let me know if they are still available and where to find them. Maybe Im nuts and they still use them, I havent been in a small plane in years.
