I am looking at getting a full windshield for my rzr. I have one major concern. What do you do when it is covered in mud and dirt. With the 1/2 windshield I just look over the top. I would hate to ruin an entire ride with my head hanging out the side. I have been thinking of some type of last option of pulling the windshield off and mounting it on the roof or in the back somewhere. Anyone done this or figured out a way to deal with the dilema.

The full polycarbonate lock and ride windshield can be a pain. I either have stay in front of the pack or I have to carry cleaner and paper towels to keep it clean. If there is a creek crossing you can pop it off and clean it in the creek. I've even went so far and carry a bilge pump to hose it off when we come up on a stream. I'm looking at a way to hook up wipers and a pump. The polycarbonate is pretty tuff stuff and doesn't scratch to easy but it does scratch. Its still a pain, If I had it to do over I would go with the glass -

Only experience with windshields in my fathers 1/2 windshield on his Rhino... 1/2 windshield is great because it helps keep the wind off you for those cooler days but yet you can still see over it. I plan on getting one for my new RZR. If you need more than a 1/2 windshield or need it for eye/dust protection WEAR GOGGLES!!! 10 times better than any windshield for eye protection IMO.. Plus here in the east you don't get whipped in the eye by branches.

I made a folding one works great.. We leave it up 99% of the time though. I made a small pressure washer that I carry in the back with us when we go on camping trips. Its just a sureflow pump with a 3 gallon tank. Works great for spraying off the window, washing are hands, ect..
Here is my windshield

I saw a window that RYFAB in Logan,Ut is making. It is steel framed with glass insert. It is hinged with supports to hold the windshield when folded down. It also has a single wiper blade that is mounted to the middle top of the frame. It think he told me that it retails for around a little over $400.

I have the Polaris lock and ride full windshield. I used Rain-X on the windshield and the mud and dirt just pretty much rolled off. I read on another thread that Rain-x can dull the finish so I am going to be using something else next time. I only have about 11 hours on my RZR but so far I am not regretting getting the full windshield.

3X on the rain-x for the L&R windshield.
The rain-x works great and everyone else is asking how mine stays so clean and they are stopping to clean theirs.
I also take some of the windex window wipes for when the rain-x gets overwhelmed.

I have a 1/2 tinted windshield from EMP for the summer months when we want the air.

I like the pressure washer idea!

I just got the Kolpin adjustable windshield I'm hoping if I leave it cracked open the dust won't be too bad (yeah right) we'll see. Might have to do the pressure washer idea or build some long struts to keep it all the way up? Not sure yet haven't had it out yet.

Cripes, I must be the only owner of this windshield on this forum.

A dealer up in Montana talked me into this, and nobody could take it away from me now. Most versatile there is, and solves every issue mentioned about windshields I have read here.

Not the cheapest, but it is on my rzr.
