Im new to the world of XP 900's so I hope this isnt a stupid question...Im looking to add a 30 inch lightbar to my xp, how do I mount it? I know ive seen them out at the dunes...anyone got pictures of how they mounted theirs?

Axia has many different mounting bracket options. Could you flip the outer feet on the 30" bar so that they are pointing toe in, versus toe out? that way they wouldn't be on the arch of the OEM cage. Just a thought.

Another great resource for the Axia mounts and bars is James at Alternative Offroad. heres their link;http://www.alternativeoffroad.com/

He's been a great resource for me regarding different Axia mounts as well as light bar info. check-em out.

I've got nothing against china lights but totrons pattern is a 60 degree flood and 30 degree spot! compared to 10 spot and 20 flood from rigid. There reflector sucks which causes the light to wash out ( My 70watt 30" LEDSTIXX light bar was brighter) and they know it that's why they're coming up a new single row with cree diodes and new reflectors ( I think a new dual row too). There is a really nice light from china that rivals that of rigid but totron is not it.

My buddy has a 40" and a 10" rigid on his sandrail that I've ridden in and driven at night multiple times. Honestly my 30" totron bar is so close in color temp I would bet that it is completely indistinguishable. Sure he's a little brighter but he has 50" compared to my 30. I bet apples for apples they would be pretty close. For the dunes I actually prefer a wider flood so you can see where you are going since you are turning the whole time. He's done with his rail till next dune season or I would do a side by side comparison for you.

Give me a call tomorrow. I have the right bar for you that will fit your stock cage and mounts to go with.

Not the best pictures but I have the 30" from Tribal and love it. Surprised me on how bright it was. The light is the same color as the factory LED head lights.

$400 is hard to beat vs $1000. This is mounted through the roof to the cage, holes are silconed. Clamps are from Tribal also.

X2 Tribal is what I went with. Russ is a great guy to deal with. If you "like" his facebook page you'll get a discount and if your a member on here (obviously you are) you get 10% off.

Here is a couple pics of mine.

Axia mounts. Fit great! Took a whole 10 mins to get it installed.

Very stealth looking. That is until you turn it on!

I couldn't be happier. I bought both lights and was still well below the price of 1 Rigid. Everyone will have their own opinion on what is the best. For the price, look and customer service. It will be hard to beat Tribal Whips.

What you've also got to take into consideration when buying a Chinese bar is the warranty. When you buy Rigid, VisionX, Baja Designs etc you are essentially paying a good amount for a lifetime warranty as well. I can't even begin to explain how many customers have come to me telling me their Chinese light failed on them within 2 years. Now I'm sure some bars are hit or miss and some are better than others but I can say that a lot has to do with the warranty of the light.

The totron ones from tqs atv have a 5 year warranty. Take a look at how far led light bars have come in the last 5 years. 5 years from now the current light bars will be outdated and most people will have bought another new machine. In 5 years we should be able to buy a better light bar for the same price if not less than what's out there. Baja designs and vision x are at least pushing the market forward with new and better technology. They are expensive though. Rigid on the other hand seems to think they own the market and don't need to innovate much. They still want an arm and a leg for their stuff.

Totron uses a no name led and driver. They are not comparable to a rigid. Call Steve and ask his opinions of Totron. If I've got 400 I'd buy the LEDSTIXX bar over Totron. If I've got 600 I buy a true rigid copy. Rigid needs to lower there prices a bit to be competitive but they did put the r&d into there light which cost money. The Totron is bright and the one I've had for awhile was good quality from what I could tell and never let me down. The light is a different color temp compared to the stock XP headlights "more yellow". My opinion, take it for what it is.

Maybe I'm wrong in my thinking, but when I paid $1,000 for my 4 Trail-tech HIDs, I puposely mounted them to the $9 CAST aluminium clamps from Rocky Mountain ATV:

Tusk UTV Horizontal Flag Mount | UTV | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC

I wanted a clamp that would break in the event of a roll over, or smack from a tree limb, rather than break an expensive light. In my opinion, if you run a billet clamp, they are MUCH stronger than cast. To me, that means I'm more likely to break an expensive light, than an inexpensive clamp.

With my quads, I've always ran my clutch and front brake a little loose, so when I wreck, they rotate on the handlebars, rather than break a lever. Loose light mounts isn't an option, if you want your lights to stay adjusted, so I wanted a clamp that would be like a fuse, so to speak.

I can't figure out why guys with super expensive lightbars mount the lights without some sort of protection, so a simple roll over doesn't become a $1,000+ ooopsie!

The guard I made for my lights shows lots of "war wounds". To me, that suggests it's doing it's job so far, and was a good idea to fabricate.

here ya go guys. those noname emitters are whats in everything.

Hey Everyone,

We have had a lot of people ask for the numbers and facts about LEDs and not the marketing influence. So we decided to do the research and make an informative chart and article purely based on facts. If you have any questions about anything please feel free to ask.

This debate will go on and on. I got a light I could afford and can see great with it. I've beat the hell out of it on the last two trips with treelimbs. Pulled up beside of a rigid 30" and couldn't tell any difference.Don't really care what kind of super gizmo's are in it as long as it works and I can still afford to eat.

Totron recently announced newer versions of LED light bars that are now using CREE LEDs.

Having a light bar with cree XM-L leds would be awesome. My new rigid SR series appears to use the cree XP-G,, which is also a great led. My new 10" sr is brighter than my rigid 10 double row E series. Quality led and reflector design make huge differences. Not taking away from jbeane's totron, it looks great for the $ for sure. I like my lifetime warranty and made in USA bars. I've got plenty of quality Chinese made led flashlights though.
