i hear ya, the first year we went (like 5 years ago) we left the BC groomer barn and made it ten minutes before we had to stop and wait for them to bring out the groomer to push the snow off the trails so the 2wd's could make it up the hills that was a ton of snow....but even if there is snow it shouldnt be too bad i went up last weekend and rode 100 miles or so on the sled and the trails were pretty thin in spots

Still cant register any sxs over 1000 lbs

Why is that? I guess im confused....as i dont know of any SxS's that are under 1000lbs. And what does weight have to do with anything? Ive heard of lots of trails having width restrictions...but never heard of weight restrictions??
Is this on state trails or private land?
By the way, your S is under !000 pounds and all other 800 and 570's (- the 4's) NY state is bull shit. you out of state guys can register yours and come if you want. Oh, I'm in on the 13th. Look for a black and red S wiith a chair ir the back. Don't have to worry about dust this year and I doubt ther will be over 4,000 riders like last year unless we get a heat wave and some warmer temps.

copied directly from ny dmv website....OUT-OF-STATE REGISTRATIONS

New York State honors valid out-of-state ATV registrations. If your home state does not require ATV registration, you must obtain a New York State registration before operating your ATV in this state.

I believe key words being...your home state...

Thats so weird...what the heck is a sheriff doing inforcing a law like this anyway? In PA it would be DCNR who would enforce something like this. They are the only ones who would even care about something so stupid. ...but then again they are a bunch of communists.
.
Sorry i didnt mean to derail your thread...ive just never heard of such a thing

utv's have been running this event but only ones with a valid reg in state or out of state until last year when the sheriff and dec gave a "one day" pass for any that were not registered

utv's have been running snirt run for years and years. dirtbikes, trucks iv seen everything there so i wouldnt let it bother you. but anyways i think it was 2 years ago they still had a decent amount of snow and to me it was the best. barnes corners tryed to plow the roads and i guess the town made them replow the snow back on to the roads and made it very challenging on the trail from tuggers to tug hill inn. i do have fun every year but last year was terrible with the dust

did you try F.X. Outdoor toy store in Pulaski? I wish i woulda known a little sooner you were looking for one...tried to sell my 2012 that was registered...ended up trading it. Honestly I wouldnt even worry about registering it...they do this every year say no utv allowed...i have never had a problem on the hill or on snirt run
