Lets Decide The Best Cab Enclosure Thread

I've saw a few scattered threads on enclosures but winter time is coming and I think its time we get some real world info on which of these options are best and work with what accessories.

Okay so myself, I have a Polaris sport plastic roof, Polaris lock and ride windshield, Polaris full aluminum doors (2879510), MB quart door speakers (factory for 2017 ride command XP 1000) and tusk polycarbonate rear windshield. I am debating on going with the Polaris factory upper doors a trail armor fastback rear cover or the Quadra enclosure. I have no information on the cheaper upper doors. (Id like access to the rear from the inside of the RZR, which is why I have narrowed things down to these two options, so far.).

It looks as if my rear windshield will not be needed if I decide to use one of these two options (covers the cab and the bed), which is what I want.

Another important point for me is removal of the air intake ducts on the bed. I must be able to remove them after every ride to clean my Wolfsnout intake filters.

My greatest worry with the Quadra enclosure is that I will have to get rid of my Polaris roof and it may not work with my door skins/door speakers. I suppose losing the roof wouldn't be bad to replace it with the Quadra soft roof but I hate to spend extra money when I otherwise wouldn't need to. I would keep the Polaris sport roof for the summer, as I have a trailer vent mounted in my roof to channel cool air into the cab during the warmer rides. If anyone wants info on how to do this let me know and I would be happy to help. I got the trailer vent off ebay for about 35 dollars, traced a diagram for the hole, cut the hole, bolted and RTVed the went to the roof. Works beautifully for keeping air flowing, as long as you have a rear windshield (not sure if a front windshield is necessary).

I won't be riding in weather that is too cold (Kentucky winter) and am hoping you guys have some feedback on which way I could go.

Lets get some good information in here so everyone knows where to spend their hard earned money to stay warm this winter while riding!

Ill snap some pictures to add, at a later time, but for now I will try to find a couple of pictures showing my current setup.

Thanks guys!

I have the SXS front and rear windows, the Polaris poly sport roof, Polaris upper and lower doors to enclose mine, and the Motoalliance heater to help keep warm in the winter. With the poly roof, there's some gaps on all 4 corners but these were easily sealed off using some foam pipe insulation. I wanted to seal everything up as well as I could because I use my Rzr to plow snow in the winter, and as you know it can get pretty damn cold here in Montana. Looking at the Quadra enclosure, I don't think I'd like the idea of having to zip and unzip every time you want to get in or out, plus I have no reason what so ever to have the back end covered.

This is a photo of mine, at the time I had the Polaris soft top on it which let a lot of cold air in, like I mentioned I have the poly roof on it now.

I got the oem upper doors, utv giant lower doors, superatv rear tinted windshield and superatv front flip up windshield. Next year, i will buy a flat front windshield to seal better.

Also, the oem uppers arent perfect. The zipper for the door latch is only one sided and i have atleast 1” of play on the deivers side between the upper doors and rzr frame.

The Polaris lock and ride windshields have edges that wrap around which would work to help keep wind out. Something to look into. But it would also be nice to upgrade to glass.. with the windshield wiper setup. Something to seriously consider. I think Polaris even has a glass windshield/windshield wiper setup.

I came so close to getting the superatv tinted rear windshield but couldn't pull the trigger because they say it isn't scratch proof vs the clear version of the windshield.

Those tracks look mean!!

Polaris windshield, upper doors, poly rear. Camso 4s1 Tracks.

IceCrusher Heater with thermostat.

BTW: Not stuck in this picture. These Camso tracks are something else.

I use this rig year round. Ice fishing in winter.

Thanks for your replies guys. Since I have the Polaris Poly windshield and Polaris sport roof, I went with the OEM upper doors since they would most likely fit best. If I didn't have Polaris brand stuff (roof/windshield), I would've strongly considered other options but either way, Polaris could very well be the best option. We will see. I ordered them over the weekend so they should be here soon! If I think of it, I'll post pictures!

Thanks guys
