Keep breaking portal adapter

2014 Polaris Rzr xp1000. Installed SATV 4” portals. Running SATV high clearance radius arms. SATV 1” longer trailing arms. Shock Therapy springs, revalued Walker Evans shocks and rear sway bar and links. I keep snapping the lower radius arm bolt that connects to the portal adapter. Twice on driver and passenger side. What gives? SATV just sends new portal adapter. Every time it breaks it’s on nothing crazy. Just breaks the aluminum “ears” off the lower adapter. Anyone else have this issue. SATV is stating Shock Therapy may have set pre load on shock too stiff. Doesn’t make sense to me. Any help greatly appreciated.

The rodend needs to fit snugly between the mounting tabs in the bracket, sometimes this requires a shim. If there is ANY play when you tighten the bolt it stresses the bracket and it will break easily. The bracket is cast aluminum and does not flex or give like billet aluminum. There is an updated bracket available from SATV that addresses this issue.

Thanks Joe. I inquired with SATV about this as well. I noticed the bracket was different on this picture of their boxed radius arms. I will call SATV and inquire about the new bracket seen here as well as a possible shim for the current set up if the new bracket isn't available for my unit as its a 2014 XP1000
