i have dunestars too. at first i only had rears with the stock tires up front, had a lot of trouble with pushing the front end, but putting another set up front fixed the problem.

This sand-tire dilema is killing me!!!!!!!

Is there a DEFINITIVE answer on which is better?

A. Smooths up front, with scat trak 7-10 paddles in the rear

B. Other sand tires (like dunestars) all around, and run in AWD

Which is better?!?!?!?!

i think it's a preference thing and a money thing.. dunestars all the way around are cheaper than the scat tracks. the dunestars are good for climbing, the scat tracks are good for floating.
i have a friend "cole" who has the haulers on the rear and mohawks up front with lightened rims.. he loves them. i have dunestars on steel wheels and i love them..
but.. with just dunestars on the rear i hated them.

That's what I was thinking of doing....

Scat-Trak 8-paddles in the rear, with the "mohawk" tires up front... all with the douglas "red" lightweight rims. Like you said, it's more expensive, but I just want the best possible set-up with near-stock power levels, and something I can grow into with more HP...
