We are considering moving from our 08 std rzr to the new xp. Just wanting to get some in put from owners that have them if they are happy or not. Are they noticeably more powerful and does the stock suspension make a big diff from the standard rzr. We mainly ride the dunes and feel in the need for more power!
Ready for some thing new but want to hear from owners there likes dislikes before taking that plung.
Thanks for ur input.

Oh YEAAA!! The power differance is VERY noticable! I had the standard 50" for about a year then converted it to a S ... But i needed more. This XP is awesome and all I need.. Til I can afford a turbo :rofl3:
I did notice the width was an issue in the tight mountain trails at first but you get used to it and learn to adapt.. Now its no issue at all:ride:

Couldnt be happier with ours, they are very powerful! Hell I burried mine in a bad hole this past wkd with 28" tires and came out with a flat. There was a rock jammed inbetween the spokes so bad that it put a hole in the rim a size of a tennis ball and didnt break anything. Unfortunate that that my wheels is screwed, but impressive that i didnt break an axle or hub when that happened. You will love it!

i went from a 1000 prowler which is 60 in wide and thought the extra width would be my only complaint. but truth is you get used to it,we ride in all terrains other then dunes here and it hasnt been a problem yet and we havnt tagged anything hard enuf with a tire/wheel to pop a tire. this thing rips,we call it our rally beast. whereever you point it it will go. 1000miles so far flawless!

It's great hearing all the info. Basically I have loved the dunes for years and mainly only have had quads. Just recently we bought a std 08 rzr to see how much we enjoy it, long story short two trips to the dunes love the rzr but feel a big lack in power and suspension, however it's all stock. Be we like it so much we haven't taken the quads out once so we are thinking of selling them and the rzr and going big, excited to try something new!!!!
Thank you all again

yes, i'm kinda getting tierd of everyone on here telling me im an idiot that dont know what im talkin about, gets old real quik, the point is shit does break without being abused, i deal with it every day, i am shop manager for a large oilfield trucking company, have been for many yrs, ive been a profesional mechanic for close to 30 yrs, ive seen and fixed alot of busted machinery , i know abuse compaired to faulty parts, ive abused alot too, been racing all my life, drags, mud drags, tuff truck, etc, i know abuse, and this rzr diff was not!! and having to fight for warranty pisses me off too

There is no defect or polaris would not be leading all segments of the sxs world.
Stuff breaks more common though is that it does not break.
It costs $$$ to offroad.
if something breaks on mine i think.
Ohhh yeah. Good reason to upgrade that now.
Fix it and move on or sell it.

OP U WILL LOVE THE 900

Buddy has an 800. I took it for a ride and went shopping for one the next week. Went up to test drive a S at a local dealership, and they had just put a XP together for the showroom. I had a chance to take it for a quick spin and couldn't not take it home with me. Ended up buying it on the spot. Don't get me wrong, the 800s are fun, but if you have any doubt, don't take a XP for a ride, because you'll never go back to an 800.
