I Found the BEST Soap for Washing my RZR...

As most of you know, I'm a RZR cleaning and detailing maniac!!!! In my everlasting quest for the best cleaning products, I have discovered the best washing soap I have ever used. It's Ultra Palmolive OXY Plus. It's cheap and the bubbles last a long time. It's also very slick, so less abrasion against your RZR body. :icon_rockwoot: All the automotive soaps I have used end up breaking down too quick and I end up using up the bottle in no time at all.

While I'm on this topic, another product that has been impressing me is Purple Power. I spray the chassis, engine, suspension, essentially everything under the body with this stuff. It seems to melt the dirt away. The only problem is, living in Canada, this product is not available up here. I heard about this product a while back, so when I visited the Oregon Dunes this past summer, I picked up some from WALMART. I just hope I can get my hands on some more of this incredible product from the States before I run out.

Now get out there and clean your RZR.

Oh I know its RZR or "RZR'S" or RZRS...I always call it a RAZR...just short for Razor, ever since I was involved with my local polaris dealership and we were on a conferance call with Polaris Corp..They actually refer to it as that Razor not RZR or Ranger RZR...so I Just call it the RAZR....just easier for me to say...it sounds weird and I know your just messing around...but since I was blown up..Acronyms really chew me up..I get confused..even with RZR sometimes..I'll just stare at it wondering what the heck am.. I.. what is it, huh?? So I just added the A for RAZR and never had an issue since....

Just another little trick I learned in speech therapy when I had to learn how to talk again..... There is so much people just dont know...But here, these people....I feel OK talking about it....

Outside in the yard yesterday washing the rzr with my typical "car wash" followed by Armor All approach. One of my neighbors comes up and tells me about the purple power for the engine and undercarriage. He goes and brings some back. Holy Crap, that stuff did just what you said (melted the mud and dirt away). I'm going to have to get some of that next time I'm at Wally world. I was going to post about it today when I came across your posting.
Be careful with the purple power too! We were using it to clean the wheel wells of our fire engine before a parade and got a little over spray on the fender trim. They were a polished aluminum but when we cleaned they were dulled out and spotted. We ended up having to sand them down with fine sandpaper and re-polish them to a shine. Purple power is also pretty caustic and harmful to the wrong metals/finishes. I have been using Simple Green for my under carriage and all the black plastics. Spray it on let it sit a little then take a damp sponge or light bristled brush and scrub the plastics. They will shine like new!
I just got received an email from Purple Power...and their products are not available in Canada....ugh!

The biggest thing to remember is....don't let the PP dry out. First, I spray water on the area I'm going spray with PP, then start scrubbing. Only do small sections at a time and then rinse sooner than later.
My wife used the Purple Power on our boat and it ate the clear coat.....I wasnt too happy but have fixed it since. Works great for cleaning engine bay though.
i always use the PP diluted in a weed sprayer bottle. We always used that at the shop to clean bikes/atv before we worked on them. After a few spotted aluminum parts, we found that diluting it is a much safer and still very affective approach. Not sure if you guys are diluting it or not so just thought ild throw it out there
I haven't used it on an rzr but I bought a 24ft trailer that the guy had let get a little dirty and I tried all kids of stuff for example simple green, dish soap, bleach, all kinds of household cleaners and the only thing that I could find that would work is KRUD KUTTER! I am going to try and post a pic to show you the difference. It was amazing. NOw it take some elbow grease but I couldn't find anything else to even make a dent in the dirt. It is suppose to be biodegradeable aswell.
