So i just bought my RZR and am wondering how it will be for hunting. Have any of you packed an elk out with your RZR? or even a big mule deer? Wondering how much you can actually cram in the bed. Lets see some pics!!

I used my RZR to drag out 2 cow elk last fall. Rather than quartering them and then trying to tie them to the RZR we just put a strap around their neck and slid em out. We actually hooked both to the RZR together, just put it in 4 low and gentley drug them out. There was one big ravine we had to cross. . . that was kinda trickey but we made it!! I love that RZR it saved us a lot of steps that day.

I dont think they would fit in the bed even in half. You would have to tie it to the bed/cage rather than it sitting in the bed. To me the bed is pretty week for that much weight. Get in the bed of your RZR and see how much everything moves and squishes, I didnt want to warp or bend something on mine but you could do whatever you want to yours.

this year will be be my first year hunting with the RZR and i cant wait! need to get a gun rack soon. I think for white tail, the bed will be fine. I have stacked 6 bails of hay in the back with the help of a ratchet strap. I love how the RZR is sporty, yet, has enough utility for me. it will tow anything. Maybe the polaris bed extender will help increase game carrying abilty.

I used to hunt with my scrambler, so this is a large improvement for me! :redrzr:

Replace your stock skid plate with a good aftermarket skid plate then use your stock skid plate as a deer or elk skid.
Tie it off to the RZR and drag it out on the plastic skid

Man you shoulda bought the regular ranger! I have seem somewhere someone makes some kind of forklift for the rzr to put deer and such on. It works the same as a plow would it's just 2 arms that raise up and down.

We certainly don't hunt off the RZR. We use it to get where we want to hunt and then it's all about boot leather and binoculars.
We were a couple of miles from it when we found these bucks.
The heat in the bed would be an issue if you had to haul them very far. We only had to haul them a mile so they weren't in there more than about 15 minutes.
I hadn't considered that until we unloaded them and realized how warm it was.
I think a sheet of plywood will be in the bed next time to insulate from the heat.
