Why not use the actual oil fill tube?

 

I was wondering the same thing maybe the OP doesn't want or know about removing the cover in the cargo area.

 

I have a 2008 and have the bed off but I don't see any other place to add oil other than the dipstick tube behind the passenger seat?

 

Is there not a oil fill cap on top of the valve cover?

 

Nope, just through the dipstick tube.

 

This is what I use only 2 1/2 quarts take your time. fits perfect in dipstick tube.

 

Thanks I just ordered one of these metal funnels. Looks very similar to yours. The plastic one I had before didn't have as big of a hose so hopefully thisll help.

 

Maybe try and warm the oil up some so it flows better.

I sure hope he doesn't put 2 1/2 quarts of oil in his 800 as a poster with a different capacity RZR indicated.

 

Yeah only 2 quarts is needed for the 2008 800. I used ps-4 on the first oil change but rotella T6 5w-40 this time around after way too much forum research.

 

I bought one of these. It’s not fast but makes the job easy.

lol I tried that but it kept leaking out of the breather vent

 

Weird

 

Took a cheap plastic funnel and used my heat gun to slowly heat up the plastic and curve it without over doing it and it fits snugly into the RZR's dipstick tube.Works great!
