Mine came out today for the 2nd time, went to Horsefall, I was on the beach going 20mph
& noticed in driving like I had a flat looks like my left rear axle slipped out of the diff. I am not sure about warranty I bought it in Oct 08, it has 170 miles & 30 hrs.

left rear popped out at about 250 miles, we were in the middle of no where so I popped it back in, 1000 miles now and it's never happened again.

I just bought an RZRS tonight...

I haven't taken it out yet, but does anyone know if later production runs have resolved this issue?
I bet you are ok... If Polaris is replacing diffs and both axles under warranty and paying the dealers for the labor, you know they are going to correct the problem on any new units going out the factory door...

This weekend I noticed that a RZR-S newer than mine had plated tie rods. Mine are black. Polaris makes small changes without telling anyone.

Just as a side note to everyone. Keep track of all the days your RZR spends in the shop and add it to the end of your warranty. If it spends 1 month at the dealer waiting for parts it extends your warranty by 1 month. I'm not trying to hijack this thread but it sounded like it was taking a lot of time to get them fixed.

My dealer replaced the axles first and had me use it to see if that fix the problem I tested it and they came out, so they replaced the carrier and did it in 2 days. No problems now. A friend of mine turned his shocks up 2 turns and his left axle came out the first time he tried his adjustment. Well to make a long story short he lowered his shocks and the axle has not come back out.

I have a early 1st Gen and I have a Lonestar mts on mine and my rear passenger inner and outer has popped out 4-5 times and twice this weekend at little sahara so its not just the s mine had 1200 hard dune miles before they started popping out

Update. I took my RZR S to Parkers ATV in North Bend,Or & though my bikes warranty expired in March, a gentleman by the name of Bob assured me he would do everything possible to get corporate to stand by their product. I left the dealership feeling pretty good, within an hour Bob called and said my parts should arrive in a week.

Parkers has always been pretty good to deal with.

I was at Coos the last two weekends, have to go to LA this weekend though.... but I may try to get back down there the weekend after that.

I have not had any problems yet, I just got it 3 weeks ago but have been duning it plenty so far.

Glad to hear they took care of you because I just picked up a brand new RZR-s on 5/20 and they had just got it in that day. Camped at Winchester Bay from 5/21-5/31 and after 4.6 hours the right rear axle popped out and would not stay back in. I was going about 40 mph on the flat sand and when I let off the gas the RZR took a quick dive to the left and we almost went sky/sand!! I will be calling them first thin tomorrow morning and get it in to be fixed. So it looks like some are still coming in with this problem :rollfinger:

Can you verify the build date?
I figured the new production would have a newer diff with the problem fixed.
The build date should be on the vin sticker on your frame and posibly on the gas tank under the passenger seat.

Build Date is 3/12/09

How do you figure out the build date?.

Thanks. How do you know if you have the updated rear diff so this does not happen?.

I had the same problem and i was suprised te dealer had it in and out in 2 days keep up the good work ALL-SEASONS

Mine is at Parkers right now. Dropped it off late on Monday, parts ordered Tuesday and arrived Friday and they are suppose to have it back together today. Good service and they said it was due to macining problems on the axles.

You all have me kinda scared/agervated, I will check build date on mine. Has 150 miles so far some highway/gravel and fields with few jumps on motocross track. A new machine shouldn't be doing this , I have 6months of warranty so plan on riding it a bunch now to makle sure no issues, if it happens i do all my own work but still!
-People have said happening several different ways, but not mention if there machine gets rode easy all the time or is used for lots of jumping.

if i remember right mine was built in march or april. I have about 400 miles on it and no problems so far. I just hope if mine does have the bad diff that it at least does it while still under warrenty.
