lol, I thought it was fun.
Different ride but we would race boats on the lake all the time in the Midwest.
We thought Lake Havasu would be the best place to drag race each other.
I think I ran one other boat in 16 years.:rm_thumbdown:

 

That's cool man! I didn't think the trail would be close to the 1000, even if it is the high lifter. The only machine I've raced is a 2014 800 trail and I beat him by like 5 lengths to 40 mph then we stopped. How fast did y'all get up to in the videos?

 

5 lengths is a lot to 40!

 

The 900 50" (trail model) is the fastest out of all the 900's Polaris makes. I personal like the XC even though its slowest, I like the 55" width not to narrow and not to wide perfect for trail riding IMO. Just wish they would make version without the GPS/Bluetooth display screen it would drop the price cpl thousand

My XC is just as fast as my buddies trail and 900S.

 

So if y'all drag race just like the videos I posted its a 3 way tie?

 

We have raced all 3 together, The trail ( sometimes ) gets off the line faster but the XC and 900S are side by side along with the trail. We all have been in the lead by maybe 1/2 car length. All 3 are bone stock.

 

The 900 trail will do 0 to 40mph in 3.7 seconds, XC 900 0 to 40mph in 4.3 seconds, 900S 0 to 40mph in 4.0 seconds. The numbers don't lie pal

Your talking about .3 difference between the XC and the 900S. Faster on paper yes, but take it to the road or dirt. Unless each person is hammering the gas at the exact same second, each machine gets the same amount of traction, you wont have the same outcome PAL!!! You dont have your machine listed but if its a 900 I would love you race!

 

O yea that's true, my step Dad owns a Polaris dealership. We've raced every RZR model many many times and out of the 900's the trail was always the quickest, don't get me wrong I love the XC it's my favorite outta the 900's but we don't keep it in our inventory anymore because it doesn't sell well for us. I wasn't tryin to make you upset of argue sorry if it seemed that way

No problem man :ride:. I love my XC, the width is perfect for the trails but I like how my buddies S stance looks better however he gets stuck between trees a lot. Now the other guy with the trail always looks top heavy on any rocks. So glad I didnt go with that one. HE also sucks at driving so that may be a lot of it as well. lol. Think I want to get the ECU flashed next

 

They all have the same engine and tranny package. The only difference is suspension and weight. I wouldn't base my purchase on how fast one is. Get one that will do what you want it to.

 

ECU flashed can do wonders, as well as the proper clutch kit. But I agree the 50" 900 trail model is a lil to narrow for how I ride. The 55" XC is the ultimate trail model RZR it's not too narrow and not to wide. But if I was going to buy a new RZR it'd be the 1000S It's got tons of power

My 2015 900 trail topped out at 64mph with 26in tires. Ran it on a flat out by Fernly Nev.
