I was curious if anyone has attempted to make their own lighted whip. If so, what did you use for materials? Cost?

I was thinking it would be possible by running some 12V LED rope light up and gluing it a fiberglass flag pole. Then connecting it to a switch.

Thoughts?

rope light isnt as bright....

i did make some a long time ago by the time you get all the goodies you have spent almost the same as a pre made one.
