Alright, I started with EPI 85 torquer style weights. At my current boost level I was at 6300 or so from launch on out. I shaved 3 grams off under the bolt on the inside of the weight (Top of weight and down towards upper mid section turning the weight into more like a belly buster style). Now it revs to 7k off the line and streadily falls back down to between 6300 and 6400 as I pick up some speed. Question is, should I take 2 or so grams now off the tip to keep the RPM's around 6800 the whole way through? Thats what I'm shooting for. Or will the decrease in overall weight (even though on the tip only) try to still raise launching (Off the line) RPM due to the overall weight decreasing? Dont want that due to being at 7k already. Thanks

The overall weight, the profile of the weight, and the area of the weight in the profile will all have an effect on the RPM.
If I understand what you have done and your question, I am going to guess that taking more weight off will have you going beyond the 7K limit.
You may want to look at adjustable weights.

X2 on adj weights.. This is what their made for
X3..on the adjustable weights..

Yes if you take some off close to the tip it will bring the top end up...but it will affect the bottom end..just to a lesser degree..sound like you have a handle on how to tune the weight..with a set of STM adjustable weights you would be in heaven.
Either that or call Aerocharger and have them get you the non-adjustable weights to make it run like it should.
I mentioned the benefits of adjustable weights in another thread or 3 and they say adjustable weights are a band-aid...:scared2:
:rofl3:
Sorry...not trying to derail your thread or start anything...
Get the adjustable weights and don't look back..you will be glad you did..
IF you do lighten those weights again...I highly suggest ONE gram per arm MAX at a time...no going back once you take it off..
