Purchased a Raptor HID having problems with the socket coming out of the light housing, any suggestions.

Are you talking about the bulb not staying in the light housing? If so, the new bulb is packaged with a rubber seal. I originally though the seal was just packaging for the bulb. I tried to put the bulb in the housing and quickly figured out something was missing. Put the rubber seal back on and it fit perfectly.

If this is not what you meant, try and describe a little better as to what you mean. I just installed two of these kits and they are fresh in my head. So, I can probably help you troubleshoot the problem.

The rubber seal definitely is a must. I just installed two of these kits myself. Pulled the rubber seal off the first set of bulbs and like safehaven realized that it was indeed not packaging... You might have locked the bulb in the wrong way. Clockwise vs. Counterclockwise? Not sure if this matters, just a suggestion.

I dont keep my machine at my house, so I cannot take a photo. But I will do my best to describe it. The bulb comes in the hard plastic case. Unscrew the case into two parts. Inside, starting from the underside of the bulb, you have a larger plastic washer about the size of a half dollar, then a smaller washer, then the bulb, then the rubber seal (it should be about the size if a nickel and opaque in color), the another large plastic washer. The seal looks remarkably like the smaller washer on the bottom. At first glance, it really does look like packaging.

If all that fails, you may be able to steal the seal off the OEM bulb.

The only way I knew it was the wrong bulb was the information I got from you about the rubber seal. The bulb I got did not have a seal. Thanks again for the help as usual I need all the help I can get.
