Electrical problems suck. Is there anything different that you are doing or anything that is not working when it throws the code? May help narrow it down a little.

 

Start wiggling wires while it's running.

 

As far as I know nothing has quit working, the Mechanic asked me if I had lost 4wd any and I cant recall anytime it has quit working. Yea I am going to clean it up and go over the wires and plugs to the 4wd good.

 

Have someone sit in the seat while you do it. Pull replays and inspect.

 

Yea thats a good idea I will wiggle on the wires and check all that and have my wife keep checking for the code to pop up.

 

Ya you might catch a flicker or dimming of the dash light. Good luck.

 

No luck getting it to repeat the code on jack stands, tried forward reverse wiggle here tug their.....

Yea really dont know what to try now, 4wd seems to work as it should so I guess I will just keep driving it.

 

Did you ever figure out the problem? We have a 1k doing exactly the same as yours.

 

Nope never figured it out. Everything is still working and I have tried to quit looking for the code to pop up lol.

i have the 520207-4 code, had a sheared roll pin on ring gear, replaced with solid pin and put it all together, still have code and no AWD. i made sure pin wasn't to long to hang anything up..... checked fuses/relays, no luck

 

This guy over on this tread found this code and fixed it. I had the EXACT same issue that you described above, but with the addition of the 12v outlet quit working while the check engine light was on. Check this guys thread out.

I had the same code pop up a few times. It hasn't done it in about a month, just disappeared. I changed the front diff fluid last night and noticed it was very low. Don't know If that had anything to do with it.

 

Ours started to do this too and our 4x4 and differential both quit working with the same code 520207 5

 

Hey just wondering if you found the fix to your problem?
My AWD suddenly stopped working the other night. I checked all fuses and swapped relays, nothing bad. When I started rzr back up AWD worked but the indicator light didn't light up anymore.
Any ideas?

 

Not specific enough.

 

I would check the diff wire plugs. Disconnect and reconnect.

 

Unplug and plug back in?
Maybe check for moisture in plug and put dielectric grease around rubber seal?

I'm having the same trouble with my 2011 800. Did any have any luck fixing it?

 

Just got through chasing this code out on my neighbor's 2012 800. I found a few things and took care of them all at the same time, so not sure which actually fixed it but..... Positive wire going to starter had moved to where it was rubbing on the engine case as well as a bracket on the side of the motor, no wire was showing that I could see but the casing was extremely thin so I placed heat shrink over the area and then split a piece of rubber hose and zip tied it around to prevent future wear. The wires going to the fan were rubbing the voltage regulator, same thing no wire showing but thin...applied same fix, and then there was a very tight zip tie (I'm assuming factory) on the wire loom just above the front diff...cut it off and noticed a pinched wire, clipped it in the pinch, slid heat shrink over the wire, used a weather proof wire connector and then heat shrinked over it. Tapped up the area and used a new snug zip tie. Problem is gone.
