I had a belt temp gage on my ACE and really never found that it was necessary. My ace was a 570 and it was pretty easy to tell when I should switch to low. It was my understanding that the belt was sensitive to temperature and that the air flow as well as heavy use (such as climbing) would heat up the belt. I just used observation of air temp and the strain I was putting on my machine to determine when to switch to low, and never had a problem.

But with this 900 I'm not as sure, so I'm wondering if anyone has installed the belt temp gage, and if so what your finding are with the belt heating up.
