They are alot heavier (weight) than stock axles. They look well made. And by the way, no need for grinding your trailing arms or frame. They do feel like they slow down my XP. Over all they fit well, and seem to work fine. Hard to swallow $830. That would buy a nice exhaust.

Appears the inner cup has a lil larger diameter than stock. Not sure if that's good or bad. Last week I found a rock on drivers side sitting there spinning on top of cup trying to bust my transmission housing. Luckily it just slipped the band on the boot.

Portland XP--I ordered straight from gorilla. I read the same about grinding and cutting. Thats not true. They fit tight, but will never rub anything as long as you keep your stock suspension. No Lift kit etc.

Keep us posted on how they work. I did not have good luck with the Gorilla axles on the rhino I use to have, which had the 6 over long travel with Gorilla axles. I finally switched to sorgensen axles and had no problems.

Axles broke at the CV. I started measuring all the axles from Gorilla and found a variance of a 1/2 inch in length. I had purchased and changed 5 axles in a months time and I still have two brand new ones in the garage. I was buying axles complete with the CV'S at a cost of 600 dollars each. When I called gorilla, customer service was terrible. Sorry! But you asked. Hopefully you will have good luck. I really hope you do.

UPDATE!! Im already having problems with these gorilla axles. The inner CV is very very stiff. The other axle seems okay. I can hardly move the inner CV when i try to rotate it. Anyone had this problem? I could feel it dragging down the rzr when I was riding. This really ticks me off. I will try out gorillas's customer service tomorrow.

The beginning of 2010 race season I had the same problem ... sent it back to them to have checked out. The said it was fine and sent it back to me .... it broke the cage the next race.

I havent used them since!!

If it were me, I would send them back and get a refund...I have seen a lot of gorillas break. They are just a tad stronger than stock, but the price you pay for that "tad" is a joke....I dont know if they are available for the XP, but I have had extremely good luck with the heavy duty rhino brand axles....

Keep us updated on what is working.

Maybe we should start a thread on axles since they seem to be a problem so everyone knows what to get and not to get.

Just talked to gorilla axle. Customer service was great! They are sending me a new complete axle next day, then trading boxes and shipping back the old one. I probably should get a refund, but I will give them another chance. Plus I need axles for this memorial day dune trip. Not enough time to look around for more axles. In heading out this Monday. I'll keep you all posted.

I think we need more vendors concentrating on axles, the biggest xp problem, instead of turbo's and exhaust sytems. All power in the world is useless if you cant safely get it to the ground.Ive broke so many axles im afraid to hardly ride mine.:rm_thumbdown:

I broke my stock ones in mud, but do have the 5 1/2" lift from high lifter and 30" sliver backs on. Replaced broke ones with gorillas and so far so good for me.

I finally found some gorilla axles from Alan at Ricochet racing. So hopefully I'll be back out to the dunes soon and this time I will have my new raptor 700 so if I break something I don't waste a 8 hour round trip and my time off.

I got mine from him as well. Super good people to deal with. Just a heads up make sure you get new boots from your dealer, I destroyed the clamps on mine taking them apart and the tire side cv cage was cracked and broke when I removed the broken stock piece.
