Well, i picked up my spanky new 2011 rzr s le today. Pretty stoked right now to go take it out to the mountains on saturday.
I'll start by saying i never was much of a polaris fan. My bro has a 850xp and it has been nothing but grief from about the 3rd day he had it. I also owned 3 polaris quads previously and 2 of them were absolute junk. Some how i bought another one and i'm hoping it holds together well. I will probably be purchasing extended warranty before the oem is up.
I bought a commander 2 weeks ago and for a couple of reasons got rid of it. It headed out the door at 11 this morn and by 4 this aft i had my rzr s. I had nothing against the commander but i have to say this is more my style. I only wish it had the commander motor, and a couple of other little things, but i'm quite impressed with my ride thus far. I will get a better idea this weekend and report back.

Welcome to the Family!!, Maybe you didnt like the commander because if two people are sitting in it...It literally touches the top of a 20oz coke bottle..I got the picture proof from the show!! That thing has NO clearance! I also have no idea how you would mount an LT kit to it..the rear has these swing-arms, then the whole axle issue..just an ugly mess!!
You'll be very happy with your RAZR"S" Good Luck!!

I got a 2011 "S" as well...it ROCKS!! Where about are you from, I'm in Grande Prairie.
I'm from the Lethbridge area. And yes my s rocks as well. The more i drive it, the better i like it. This thing handles like a dream. I did have it on its side today already but nothing major, a couple scuffs and scratches is all.
The reason i advertised my commander originally was because i couldn't get any warranty locally. I bought it in Calgary thinking i could get er done in Lethbridge but they aren't a liscenced dealer so they cant do the work. I was also planning to get rid of my quad when i bought it but after driving it a bit i didnt think i would be able to do it considering the lack of sport aspect to the commander. That was to much dough in toys sitting around so i thought i'd sell it and get something a bunch cheaper, something used. To bad i'm somewhat impulsive and when i couldn't find anything right away, i bought a brand new one. Still might have to keep the quad however, for when i need the speed.

I had an XP850 before my new RZR and the machine was fantastic. Excellent ride and very fast. I've had a couple of Polaris sled too. Like the company and their products. Have never had a bad machine or foul experience with Polaris.

I think you'll be pleased with the speed of the RZR.

yeah its okay for a SxS but its not quad fast. I have a renegade 800 and theres certainly no contest there. Don't think i'll be doing any turbo stuff but who knows.
As for my other polarises, i had a 04 sportsman 700 which was a lemon, an 04 scrambler that i never had any problems with, and an 06 outlaw which had nothing major go wrong but plenty of little things that were annoying. My brother on the other hand has about 1700kms on his 850xp and has had almost everything go on it.

Don't discount the trailing arm(TTI Trailing Torsional Independant)suspension..they actually work very well...not everyone who rides a SxS wants a LT kit..but just like anything else if enough want it someone will make extended trailing arms...they do for the ATVs.
I have owned both brands, more Polaris machines than Can-Ams.. they are both great brands IMO. Hard to top the Can-Am refinement honestly..
Give Can-Am time in the SxS market and you just might be a Can-Am owner...looking back at the above post laughing at yourself. I for one can tell you if Can-Am came out with a RZR sized sport UTV I likely wouldn't own a RZR right now...just being honest..

Yes it is a small world. I generally ride in the crowsnest pass, dutch creek, and castle falls/ lynx creek areas. I will let u know after the weekend how it goes. The only thing i'm worried about is i'll be going with quadders and i hope i can get everywhere that they go.
