I'm now convinced that I need a windshield. Pretty much sold on glass. Been snooping around and so far the Polaris super expensive version seems to have the best overall visibility. The Tusk style ones seem to have a ballistic type frame that pbly creates blind spots. Before I spend a small fortune, does anyone have opinions either way?

I got the Polaris one and it has great visibility. Smallest frame I’ve seen. It fits ok, but hard to find aftermarket wiper for the 1000 xp. Which I believe the trail has a similar design

Flat glass windshield---make an angle iron frame--go to a glass shop that does windshields/windows for equipment(loaders)etc, get a rubber "gasket" and get them to cut you a windshield. When they cut windshields for equipment they have to cut from a corner of the glass that has the certification standard on it. That leaves pieces of windshield glass with no certification on it. I typically can get a windshield for $10/15 CAN for my TJ jeep The gasket will be the pricey part. Make brackets on the frame to mount to your roll bar/cage.

May think about that idea.

I agree with DogRunner2- Fred makes great windshields-
@Timswi - I have sold 100's of his windshields and never has a complaint-
He is not a big company- and has been doing Windshields for over 10 years.

I run mirrors and his windshield, and wings when trail riding, and easily removed when doing Moab.
