Are you guys new to Glamis or return offenders? If new make sure and hook up with some forum members that frequent the area. This place can bite you real quick.

I grew up in California and lived in Las Vegas for a while. I first started going to Glamis and Dumont around 1988. When are you KC guys heading out? I imagine you're taking I70. I live in Jeff City so I'm taking 40 to avoid the Rocky Mountains. It's too much of a gamble with winter weather IMO. We are leaving Dec 26th.

X 2 UTV Inc. is well stocked and great to deal with . I'm not sure if they have the weekly pass there to buy . we should try to do some group rides this trip... time an place ? south park at olds ? 10 1030 ? what do you guys think ?
and maybe a radio channel weatherman , bfg relay , Baja pits , bfg pits ?

Wife and I are TBD. None of our riding friends can go out that weekend so we're deciding between 4 days in Glamis without riding buddies or 4 days in Mammoth Lakes snow

I plan to be! My first time, any good pointers?
ill tell you the same thing I tell all new people to glamis, DO NOT HAUL BUT THREW THE DUNES!! they will eat you like a cupcake ! feel the place out and take note before you start hauling but out there, :scared2: ive been more times than anybody on this site and ive seen it all out there:popcorn:
That is a bold statement

I will be there from 30th - 2nd or 3rd

Wash 22 or 23.. Away from idiots and the dust.... Annual trip, t-shits and shorts, 75-80 Deg's in the day, sitting in the desert getting a tan in a lawn chair sucking beers down.. Day Trip to Mexico, 2 weeks out, already can't wait.
Would like to hear more about this day trip to Mexico. Where do you cross? You know... With the Giant fence and all.

I will be there from the 26th - 4th.

guess were gonna head down on the 27th sense its under a 3 hour drive and ive got left over vp fuel to burn from thanks giving weekend:Drogar-Shock(DBG):

Make sure you have your flag, helmets, any fuel tanks have a valve, drive a 4x4 truck, don't buy stuff from the local store, try and team up with someone in the event you get lost, stuck, break down etc!
Don't buy stuff from the local store? Seriously????

I support the Glamis Beach Store. I like the fact that they are there. I have found more than one odd part that I needed in the high priced misc junk isles. Their cookies and coke are a little old, and maybe have a layer of sand and dust in them, but it's nice to have the store there. The ice is expensive, but not as expensive as running into Brawley for ice. The store has a certain charm about it, what's with the Beach Store hate??? That store has been there as long as I have been going there.

Hey, we don't ride there via off-road. We go via the pavement down Highway 78 to Interstate #8, east towards Yuma. Exit is Los Algondones. It's a small border town. We park on the USA side and walk over. You need a passport to go back and forth. :rzrflag:

so I buy a kite from the old lady at the glamis store and ride with it on my quad for 15 minutes back to are camp, my kid opens the kite and says dad, there's no string? so I ride back to the store and walk in, the old lady says I KNEW YOU WOULD BE BACK!! the string is to the left of the kites'' im like REALLY'' you let me leave here and didn't tell me the kite came with no string? she says the string come too 610:rollfinger: I said the kite was only 5 bucks'' wtf? the string and kite price didn't matter as much as the price of my VP fuel to make 2 round trips to the store did:cussing: youll get yours some day old granny!
