How do you tell the difference between generation one and generation two. I just bought one in Oklahoma at grand lake. Mine is a 2008 RZR.

Probably the most noticable difference is the Gen 1 had 4 screws holding the hood on. Gen 2's have 2 camlocks on the back of the hood.

To this point they are all 08's.
Two quick checks, .look at the box next to the battery or look at the hood for easy differences. The hood will have quick turn screws and the box will have an obvious spot for a lid.

I thought I read Gen 1s didnt have a pipe clamp holding on the air filter and Gen 2s did? any truth to that?
