Thanks 25 sounds perfect. I’ve got her in the mind set now if you need to be going around 30 then stop and shift to high. I believe I will order the 67/25 low and the 325 set. I’ve been reading up and learning about the clutches and clutching as well I think with the gear setup I won’t have to mess with her clutching.

The stock clutching should work pretty well with that setup, correct. If you were to put a tune to it, it might need a little clutch work, but otherwise, I wouldn't mess with the clutch until after you drive it a while and get a good feel for it either way.

Just put this info together for a guy in reference to a 2017 XP4 1000, figured I should post it up in this thread as well.

Your stock final drive gear ratios for reference are:
2017 XP4 1000:
H: 12.0:1
L: 18.79:1
R: 22.9:1

A Stock HL final drive ratios for reference are:
H: 11.8:1
L: 29.0:1
R: 26.0:1

The HL uses a lower output to the rear wheels and the front diff than a standard 1K for final reduction, so it actually has higher initial gearing in H & R, and only 21% lower L gear (this would be the 1A-5B range on the spreadsheet). The current spreadsheet also has an error in the HL gearing, and I don't have the new one ready yet, still trying to find time to fix errors, update data, and refine a few things.

Option 1: Ace 325 Swap (4A/4B, 25/48)
H: 13.6:1 (12.7% Red)
L: 21.2:1 (12.7% Red)
R: 25.8:1 (12.7% Red)
Parts Needed:
3235450 - 48T Stage 2 Gear
3235451 - 25T Reverse Gear Shaft

Option 2: L gear swap from 2017 XP 1000 (3A/3B, 29/64)
H: 12.0:1 (No Red)
L: 21.1:1 (12.2% Red)
R: 22.9:1 (No Red)
Parts Needed:
3235763 - XP1K Input Shaft (42/20/29)
3235774 - 64T L Gear

Option 3: L Gear from XP1K & Ace 325 (3A/3B, 29/64 & 4A/4B, 25/48)
H: 13.6:1 (12.7% Red)
L: 23.7:1 (26.4% Red)
R: 25.8:1 (12.7% Red)
Parts Needed:
3235763 - XP1K Input Shaft (42/20/29)
3235774 - 64T L Gear
3235450 - 48T Stage 2 Gear
3235451 - 25T Reverse Gear Shaft

Option 4: HL 1A-3B gears with Upgraded reverse chain (You'd have to do the Reverse chain in this scenario)
H: 10.4:1 (13.7% Increase)
L: 25.6:1 (36.2% Red)
R: 22.9:1 (No Red, but HD Chain)
Parts Needed:
3235953 - HL Input Shaft
3235232 - 67T L Gear
3235396 - 49T H gear
3235762 - HL 48T reverse sprocket
3235633 - HL Reverse Chain
OR:
WKP HD Reverse Chain Kit ( Order for a 2017 HL4, NOT a standard 1K4 )
3235232 - 67T L Gear
3235396 - 49T H gear

Option 5 : HL 1A-3B gears with Upgraded reverse chain, and Ace 325 gears
H: 11.7:1 (2.7% Increase)
L: 28.8:1 (53.5% Red)
R: 25.8:1 (12.7% Red)
Parts Needed:
3235953 - HL Input Shaft
3235232 - 67T L Gear
3235396 - 49T H gear
3235762 - HL 48T reverse sprocket
3235633 - HL Reverse Chain
3235450 - 48T Stage 2 Gear
3235451 - 25T Reverse Gear Shaft
OR:
WKP HD Reverse Chain Kit ( Order for a 2017 HL4, NOT a standard 1K4 )
3235232 - 67T L Gear
3235396 - 49T H gear
3235450 - 48T Stage 2 Gear
3235451 - 25T Reverse Gear Shaft

If you go with either Option 4 or 5, you could get the WKP HD Reverse Chain Kit for a 2017 HL 4 Seat, which gives you an even heavier duty reverse chain, and includes the input shaft, chain, and rev sprocket.

Is WKP reselling the SATV kit or do they actually make their own? Asking because it was stated in another thread that SATV has their super single chain on hold right now due to mfg issues. I have a buddy looking to upgrade.

I'm not certain at all actually, I was just doing research for him and knew that I'd seen people happy with the WKP setup, and that they showed it in stock. I had heard the same about the SATV kit and knew that one wasn't available. So I'm not sure if WKP has old stock of the SATV kit, hasn't updated their website, or makes their own kit.

@RWB713 Thanks for the post on the Gear Reduction. Saved me tons of cash as well as educating me on the gears. I have a 2018 XP4 1000. I already installed the ACE 325 gear set. I snapped the output shaft last weekend. So, since I have to go back in the transmission again anyways, I'm going to install the gear set you referenced (input shaft and 64t gear). Again, thanks for your help.

26% in all gears if memory serves me correctly. The Link to the sheet is at the bottom of post 1 as mentioned to get you the exact %.
