Who's running them? What brand? Likes and dislikes?

There are older posts about them but I want current information from real use.

I absolutely hate the stock shifter. I want something with a more positive detent for doing technical stuff.

I have the B&M and love it. My son-in-law liked it so much he got one also.

I got the two button momentary side plate and am wiring my horn relay and back up lights through the buttons.

Might not really deter theft, but I like I can lock it in park.

I just put the Viper gated shifter in my buggy. Haven't had to use it in an emergency yet but it is great to be able to jump in and slam it back into low without counting clicks. Reverse is just as easy to find as well. Install took a whole 20 minutes and I did not even have to adjust the cable.

There are a lot of good gated shifters to choose from.

I purchased the B&M hill killer gated shifter. I wish I would have done it sooner. Very useful.

I purchased B&M due to the lower cost and it was lockable. Once installed, I saw the quality is there. It's a nice unit. I like the fact it retained the factory shift boot.

Does what it is supposed to, really like it and I've had it for years now with no issues.

The Hill Killer gates L-N-R together, I mainly use the feature for quick no grinding 3-point turns on tight trails. It can be used for oh-no situations to find R from L/H immediately, no accidently hitting park. It locks certain positions, so you must squeeze the release handle to move from P to R or L to H or R to P.

That was why I added the momentary switch side plate - quick three point turns on the tight trails we play on. I know I could have wired it up with a micro switch or some other way to be automatic, but I actually really like the switch on the shifter. I do also have a dash switch for backup lights.
