I'm interested in a gated shifter for my Pro XP 4...I haven't located a vendor that sells for this platform. Have any of you run across a unit that works in the PRO?

Looks good. I can tell you that taking the consul out of the Pro XP is not as easy as the older models and style. The Pro XP consul is three pieces. The top gray piece and the two black side pieces. If you can install the shifter without taking off the two black side pieces the job will be a lot easier. The shifter is definitely a good thing to have.

What are benefits of the gated shifter other than they look bad ass?

The huge thing for me when I had a gated shifter was rock crawling. You are in low gear heading up a steep climb and all of a sudden you need to throw the shifter into reverse. With a gate shifter you can be sure you will not miss reverse and throw the shifter into neutral or park. It is also nice to never have to look down at the shifter to make sure you are shifting into the gear you want.

How is that different from the B&M one, or are they the same? Thanks!!
B&m all the way. I have installed both and would choose B&m every time. Plus they are local to me literally two building down. Matter of fact my machine was used for r&d along with some other machines to get the shifter working perfectly. They have a couple options as far as every gear lockout or normal. It has saved my ass a few times

Love my NRP gated shifter. Smooth and easy operation.
