so NRP has one listed for the pro xp...thoughts?

 

Looks good. I can tell you that taking the consul out of the Pro XP is not as easy as the older models and style. The Pro XP consul is three pieces. The top gray piece and the two black side pieces. If you can install the shifter without taking off the two black side pieces the job will be a lot easier. The shifter is definitely a good thing to have.

 

I was looking at that and it looks like a pain the butt...but, i think i need to remove it for my second battery install. I did locate a hill killer along with the NRP I now have two choices. I guess i need to pick one and get to the getting! Thank you for your input, I truly appreciate it!

The huge thing for me when I had a gated shifter was rock crawling. You are in low gear heading up a steep climb and all of a sudden you need to throw the shifter into reverse. With a gate shifter you can be sure you will not miss reverse and throw the shifter into neutral or park. It is also nice to never have to look down at the shifter to make sure you are shifting into the gear you want.

check out the Gear Grabber Shifter. It is awesome. A bit pricey but well worth the coins. Customer service is great and he can walk you through any problems if you have any. Takes about 30 min to install. Just my 2$. Booggerbe

B&m all the way. I have installed both and would choose B&m every time. Plus they are local to me literally two building down. Matter of fact my machine was used for r&d along with some other machines to get the shifter working perfectly. They have a couple options as far as every gear lockout or normal. It has saved my ass a few times

B&M doesn't list the Pro XP.

 

Get a Gear Grabber...that's the way I went. I think they are better built then the B&M chinesium version. Gear Grabber is all built in the USA!

 

Love my NRP gated shifter. Smooth and easy operation.
