It is not recommended by Fuel Customs to oil the filter as it is a vent not an intake. Therefore oil is not necessary. Unfortunately the cover is not compatible with the Boondocker clutch. But it does work with the STM if you go that route.

Here are some additional pics. Ran one of these covers on my personal machine as well as another in our group. My machine is pretty much stock motor-wise but has a Sparks clutch kit with a non-EBS helix. Clutch spacing was verified as well. With the stock cover I was getting a significant amount of contact on the vent tube from the belt. So much that the belt was chewing up the plastic pretty bad and making some rough edges on it. I believe that was contributing to some of my short belt life issues. Got setup with Garrett at Fuel Customs as a dealer and wanted to get some first hand experience with the covers. I'm happy overall. You can see in the picture where the belt made some minor contact, but that is not an area of concern for me since it is nice and flat. The outer cover on both machines I installed the covers on made very minor contact with the drive shafts u-joint. The machine rubbed a slight bit on it, but appears fine now. If anyone is looking to purchase, give me a shout or you can order by following the link to my site above.

I've been running one of these for about 7 months or so. Gets compliments on the trail every time I stop somewhere. I went to it after getting a heel clicker clutch kit and haven't had a belt trouble since.
