I was putting a new roller cage in my 08 rzr front diff, I was taking the axles out and got the first one out, then I couldnt get the other side out. Having never done this before I looked inside the diff from the side I already pulled out and tapped what I thought was the end of the axle until it broke! That when I new that this was not the end of the axle.
What have I broke?
Is it something that needs to be replaced? If so what would the cost be?

Thanks,
matt

Matt, unfortunately that was not the stuck axle you were hitting....short answer...yes, you'll need to replace the piece. I know there was someone that did the exact same thing and posted about it a while ago....and in his case, I want to say he went the route of using JB Weld as I think he had only cracked his. Not sure, but I'll look for the thread.
Personally, I'd replace the broken parts and not worry about a repair holding.

Almost forgot....the name of the part that you broke is the output hub assembly.....around $225
