I recently installed the EMP bumper with a Viper 4000# Max winch. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet and don't know if the bumper will handle the pull of the winch if I put maximum stress on it.

The bumper was very easy to install, the winch took the better part of a day with all the wiring that had to be done.

Bought the bumper from RZRHeadquarters and the winch direct from Motoalliance.

So how bad did that bumper make your rzr nose dive? Are you saying the bumper doesn't appear to be able to handle the stress of a big pull from the winch???

 

Is there a issue with the way the bumper mounted ?

 

Higher center of gravity but easier to access I suppose.

 

is your bumper mounted to the frame or to the Rad support ? if itis to the rad then I would not try to pull mine out of anything crazy those brackets are pretty weak

one of the vendors makes a bracket that bolts on and makes it stronger

 

I just don't think the bracket would help that much it is more for keeping the bumper from pushing into the rad. that upper support is not that strong.

but maybe ? it would help

the warn and EMP bumper mounts to the frame. i have winched full size rangers out of mud holes easy.

 

Will any of these bumpers hold a 4k or 4500 lb winch?

Which bumper would you guys go with the warn or the emp?

 

I went with the EMP and am pleased so far with the quality. Haven't put it to the test yet though!
