For those of you using the standard front shocks on your "RZR 800 Standard" in need of new bump stops I've found some. Note: I have not used these but I can't find the Red ones we used to use. Speedway Motors has "Speedthane Bump Stops" in 2 1/4 and 3 inch long. They come in soft, medium, and hard versions. Other than the color they look just like the ones I used.

I'd use the 2 1/4 soft ones. I had 1 1/2 inch spacers on the front, shocks set to top position and it worked really well. You need to experiment to see which shock setting works for you. Using the soft ones allows the suspension to work over a longer area of the shock, that helps.

Remove the shock then remove the spring from the shock screw off the top eye of the shock from the stem then slip the bump stop on the stem then reverse the order

P.S. these bump stops have a 5/8" inside dia. the stem is 1/2" I used a piece of 1/2" inside dia. vinyl hose about an inch long over the stem to hold the bump stop at the top. I've only made a short trip but it seems to work.

I used Eibach BS45001617 universal bump stops. Bought them from Summit for about $12 each. They are about 2" long and have a 13mm hole.
Just installed yesterday so I don't know how well they will hold up.
Almost impossible to remove the top shock bushing mount without heat. A heat gun softens up the locktite and the bushing mount will unthread.
Hope this helps someone out. Vince

Good information here. I recently had all 4 shocks replaced under warranty and the bumpers were junk on them. I'm sure that they will fail again, so this is a great alternative!

Thanks for posting.

This may be an old thread but I just replaced the shock bump stops the were blown out on my RZR. The recommendation to use the Speedway Motors "Speedthane Bump Stops" in 2 1/4 Soft was excellent. They fit perfect and only took my 20minutes to install. This is a great solution for the old Polaris RZR 800 (that I bought new in 2007) that is still running strong!:ride::ride:
