new retard speed limiter ,healtec

Tried what?. There isn't a speed limiter on these things. You either raise the rpm limit or??? The thing that limits the top speed is the rpm and the clutch when the engine hits the rev limiter. There's no "speed limiter" that a healer can work on unless Popo pulled one out for the 570.

Justin, these machines don't like 65 mph, especially the 50" units. Lift your RZR off the ground, and place a piece of cardboard with paint on it under each of the 4 tires. Now, lower the RZR, and lift it again. Examine the marks on the cardboard and on the tire treads.
These tires will place about 4 square inches of tread per tire for contact points. It is insane to take a machine out with this tire tread pattern, 50 inches wide, and expect anything else besides a disaster.
I like to go fast too, but I'm here to tell you- it's not if, but when it will roll over at speeds like that.

Doesn't matter what it tops out at, the point is that above a certain speed, a 50 inch wide wheelbase is unstable and will do its best to kill you. You can only get lucky so many times before statistics catches up. :rm_thumbdown: Look on this forum at some of the pix of rolled RZRs, the cage folds up if hit hard. A slow tip-over roll it will protect you, not if you launch it into a flip at 50mph.

SPEEDOHEALER v4 AND Harness Kit

Scroll to the bottom for harness application list

INTRODUCTION

On most modern motorcycles, with factory speedometer error being as high as 10%, even a modest sprocket gearing change can have the speedometer off by 15%. The sprocket change will also cause higher odometer reading, creating a negative resale factor for no valid reason. The SpeedoHealer is an inexpensive, convenient and very simple way to fix your speedo and odo. Compatible with all motorcycles with non cable driven speedometer and any vehicle with a 3-wire speed sensor or 2-wire ground switch sensor.(cars use Universal harness)

I called Nate over at alba racing this this past week. I asked him if there was anything I could do to get a few more ponies out of the 570 without splitting the engine open. Nate said that Polaris actually did a good job setting this 570 up. I asked him about exhausts and he said it would help a little but be prepared it will be loud! I also asked Nate about the rev limiter. He said at this time there is nothing to change it.

I thought the speed limiter wasn't able to be changed but rev limiter could. mine revs to 7500rpm in low range, but in high range it will cut out at 58mph at around 7150rpm. Also was thinking if the ecu gets its info from the speedometer for the speed limiter, couldn't one unhook the speedometer sensor or put it on a switch to be able to reach a higher speed temporarily?

Get an XP, you only bought half of one.

You can always count on a jackass comment from a 800 guy. It least he's got half a brain and didn't say, you should of bought an 800. We got the 570 for its cost and trail ability. It's a great machine and no regrets here

Get an XP? It don't fit on the trails, it dont fit in the box of my truck, it dont fit into my budget!

DONT FIT!

1/2 a xp sounds awesome to me. Polaris regulated top speed of the 570 because if they didn't it would leave alot of 800's dusty in the showroom.

Thats the only thing the 800 has on the 570, top speed.

Waiting for the fix,

Shoe.

I don't see how a 570 won't be stable at 65 mph. As long as your on a straight path. We ride on a old train track bed here, it's miles of straight paths. I run my banshee on them at 80mph. If they unlock the speed I will try it.

A "nearly stock" RZR 570 just won the April UTVRR Northern Series race at Windrock in Coal Creak, TN...

What's "nearly stock" you ask: offset rims; elka shocks...

He beat turbo'd RZRS and RZRXP, and he made an extra "stop" in the pits to drop off a stranded driver....

The 570 RZR engine is setup just fine stock... If you want more top-end from it change the clutching or drop a different engine in there.

Somebody made the comment on here about the 570's trail abilities. That is exactly what it was designed for. From what I have seen, they can pull steep trails like a locomotive, wind in and out on the tightest tree lined trails and do it at a pretty decent price. And the aftermarket guys are building lots of goodies for the 570.
But if you bought it for lots of top speed, why did you shop for a trail style machine? The 570 just doesn't lend itself to high speed mods.

........The 570 just doesn't lend itself to high speed mods.
Well said, RMR Man, and short of significant increases in displacement, and other power-enhancing mods ($$$$), it will NEVER attain, or reliably maintain, the higher speeds of it's big brothers. You 570 guys wanted cheap; you got it, but at the price of higher performance. Get over it! My two-bits.....

Cheers

I didn't buy mine for top speed, I bought it as it is Trail legal, and where I ride I can fit down ALL of the trails.

However, there are long stretches of trails (fire roads) that can go by a lot faster with just a bit more left in the right pedal. 58 is what the Polaris Wish meter shows, I would just like the 63 that the 800HO has. Let that 570 stretch its legs.

Same machine from the front to the back of the seats like the 800. No secret Polaris dialed it down so they can sell the remaining 800's. Why kill your own machine. .2 seconds slower in 0-30mph. less than 2hp difference on the Dyno (Thank you Alba for confirmation).

As a guy that raced my CR250, and has an Outlaw 525IRS, and A vintage 79 CR125, I want all I can get.

Polaris didn't give me everything, but it is still an awesome machine. Hands down no regrets. Just want that little bit more.

That, and there is a new Wildcat 50 inch legal trail model coming out, and I just don't care for arctic cat.

Hope that answers your question.

No problem, just open up your wallet and shell-out for a big-bore, maybe a stroke, cam, head and intake work, and maybe an exhaust system. Expensive, yes, but HP/performance increases are ALWAYS measured in cubic dollars (just ask anybody who's been around awhile), and there ain't no cheap-and-easy shortcuts. Do the above, and then you can run with the big-boys with no apologies. My two-bits......

I totally understand the go fast thing. Ever drive a Competition Eliminator car?
It's just that a 570 is only going to go so fast and there ain't no more. Not without taking away the dependability of the machine.
I wish I had 10% more on the low end lugging side, and 10% less on the top end side.
We are still reeling from a 60 mph situation one night. Sorry.

RMR Man, never drove a Competition Eliminator Car. I cannot compare.

Looks like expensive fun!

I just know the 570 pulls, then you hit the governor, and you know there is that little bit more on top. However that being said, if I could do it over again would I change my mind for an 800, no. and S, no, a 900 no. I Love, LOVE the 570. I know Polaris people read these forums, and if they do make an H.O.570, Polaris, give it the same top speed the H.O.800. or a easy way for those that want to a bit quicker.

I am sorry to hear your reeling from a 60 mph situation. I don't want to ask about it to respect your privacy in the matter. There is no need to be sorry here. I had no idea. I hope all goes well to you and yours going forward.

When I speak on any forums, I speak very direct, and what I write I believe. This may come across harsh, but it is with passion for the hobby.

I love this sport of ATV, MX, SXS with all of my heart.

The 570 is the baby brother of all the sport rzr's.
The 900 being the big brother,
The 800/s being the middle brother(s),
The 570 being the baby brother.

Big brother runs fast and long and has got long legs to soak the bumps.
800s is less fast and has long legs to soak the bumps.
800H.O. is fast.
570 is close to the 800H.O. in everyway accept top speed.

And although they are all family, sometimes brothers don't get along. Middle brother and big brother needs a good punch in the shoulder, and remind them that baby brother is not to be messed with in the tights woods, and racing in those woods.

Especially middle brother bragging he has 800cc. He doesn't. he has 760cc. Yes baby brother has 567cc, but at the rear wheels, less than 2hp separates the 2.

Those that race the 570, I love your threads on how well it does again the Bigger brothers, and the competition.

That being said I would hate to loose reliability, or compromise safety for that top speed.

Again, highest regards to you and all the best to you and yours RMR Man,

A RZR Brother,

Shoe.
