I have been riding and racing four wheelers for the past 15 years and am ready for a sxs. I have been lurking on this forum and other sxs forums to get my own opinion on which sxs to go with. What really got me going was seeing the new arctic cat trail and the fact that about 20 people i know and ride with just purchased them. I don't like buying first Gen equipment so decided to research other models as well. The only appealling thing on the arctic cat now is price, other than that i am no longer interested in them due to the enormous amount of issues i have read about and seen.
After reviewing all the forums until my eyes have bled i am dead set on a polaris 900 xc. ( i can get away with 55" and like the ability to drop down to 50") it is twice the price of the arctic cat but from what i have read polaris is the way to go(IMO). I am very impressed with with the new 900 it blows my mind how reliable and trouble free these things seem to be ( based on members input). The intake does concern me but i am very anal on maintaining my toys so will keep the intake as clean as i can until a reliable solution is offered.
I did not plan on purchasing the 900xc until after the first of the year but my local dealer has one in stock and offered me a December only price of $16450.00 not including tax or title + 15% off all extras for a year. I have been checking dealers as far a 5hrs away and the best price i have come up with is $16200.00 but none of these dealers have the xc in stock and don't have a ETA.
So here are my ?'s
Is $16450 a good price?
If i wait until after the first of the year will i have a difficult time finding a 900xc?
Is $1660.00 to much for a five year polaris warranty? ( i buy Warranties have used them on all toys and always seem to pay for themselves in my experience) also most my warranty will be used in dead of winter won't get much seat time.
Anybody hauling them in the back of a 2008 toyota tundra double cab?
will i have buyers remorse and regret my very very expensive new toy?
I know this will be like everything else in my garage.... cheapest part is the toy the real money gets spent on the upgrades and goodies. Thank you for any info really like this site hope to have new 900 xc in garage very soon!!!
