I've read plenty about Polaris and there crappy warranty. I have to say they stood tall for me this week i had a shock issue about 5 months after buying my 2022 RZR XP4 1000 and took it into a dealer in Morgan Utah. long story short i was on a hunt and it kept banging in the L/F shock. I ran it down after the morning hunt and they filled it with nitrogen and charged me for it and I agreed I would get back to them if there was a issue still. Well on that hunt I hurt my self and was down for a while and never got back to the dealer. I finally got with them in Sept. 2023 and they helped me file a claim through Polaris and was able to get the shock warrantied for me almost a year later. I just wanted to say I don't post much but i felt like i had to give props to Polaris on this one. lesson learned if you have a issue email Polaris and see if they will help i found out sometimes they do really stand behind there stuff way out of warranty.

Polaris owns WE now right?
That is my understanding, the purchase is supposed to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2023 which is in a few days. I'm just being facetious because Polaris wouldn't take care of a warranty concern for me, however, Walker Evans stood up and took care of the problem. Not knowing all of the facts I wouldn't be surprised if Walker Evans took care of the problem and not Polaris. I'm definitely not a hater but the reality is my experience with Polaris and their warranty left a lot to be desired.

A. Dealers get paid from HQ for doing warranty work; but they get furnished factory parts to replace factory parts with.
B. Dealers get paid from customer for doing non-warranty work; but they then make a ton of cash by up-selling non-factory ”upgrades”!

Which option is most lucrative to unscrupulous dealers?

As stated in post #3. HQ only knows what the servicing dealer tells them. Most likely it is NOT Polaris that won’t honor the warranty; but the dealer fed them full of shit about the owner “Abusing” the vehicle.

Wow that was great for you I took a rzr in under warranty for a shock and they said it was a we're item so I had to pay for it out of my pocket so when I just bought another new one I opted out of the extended warranty this time since it didn't help me out the 1st time it's not like I ride hard or go jumping.
