Low profile, or the bigger kick out ones? What works better/what do y'all like; and any pros or cons for each??

Ride mainly woods and rocks with some mud.

You think you dont want the big bars sticking out till you pin your rzr against a tree and sure wish there was some piece of metal on the sides instead of all the rzr weight on the door. Jacked up my factory door that way and then ordered rock sliders with kick out bars from vendetta motor sports. They offer protection for the rocker and a kick out bar for ppl like me who wedge them selves against obstacles. Made more sense to get one that would distribute pressure over the rocker instead of just mounting points like polaris. Would i run it on sand. No. But for the trails i ride the kick out bars made sense. Ive heard of ppl not liking the polaris ones due to the expansion plugs coming loose all the time. I havent been home from work for the past 3 weeks to install the vendetta ones so no comment on mounting. Just wish i had them last time i rode. I did end up with full doors after not being able to shut the factory one. Im happier with full anyways.

I do a lot of trail riding on the east coast and the extreme's offer a lot of protection. With the other style the tree or object is all up on your machine the kickers push it away hopefully before it gets close

Only down side is the mounting bolts. Make sure you keep the kickers up tight to the machine and do not over tighten the bolts. Once they are on it is a pain getting them off.

I went back and forth on the thin ones or the thick (Kickout?)ones and went with the think ones as they seem to offer a little more protection to the wheels and fenders. I already cracked one when i didn't have them.

I don't notice the difference at all... but would go with the same thing again.... just seems to offer a little more protection...

I use the Trail Armor Skids with side protection for the toughest trails in moab. I drove the Rocker Nocker in Moab up Pritchett Canyon without any damage because the skid comes around the body and keeps the rocks from damaging your RZR. Look at the pictures from my website under Trail Armor Skidplates www.proutvparts.com
